GT86Jay 202 Report post Posted February 11, 2014 Rob - What insurance company did you go with in the end? Also did you upgrade the clutch? Get some videos online! I've not seen a decent inside video of the Sprintex kit from the UK yet!
rob275 1817 Report post Posted February 11, 2014 I've just got back with it! I will do some videos tomorrow if i get a chance. Dark now so bit silly! I went with Sky in the end, they matched Adrian Flux' price for me at £1075, no clutch upgraded currently. 220 at the Hubs, will upload Dyno plots later. 1 Rab reacted to this
Pitman 188 Report post Posted February 11, 2014 Rob / Mark Could you explain the dyno plots to me (maybe I am just being really thick), but the first graph shows a maximum torque of 760 lbft, up from 557. The the second graph states a (more realistic) 186 / 137, stating a gain of -48lbft?
rob275 1817 Report post Posted February 11, 2014 It's a hub dyno, the 760lbft is calculated by 4 wheels i believe = 190lbft (I may be wrong) but look at the 186 /137. It's meant to be +48. I certainly haven't lost torque Mark just plotted the wrong way round, I don't blame him, he was rushing around as I was waiting.
Pitman 188 Report post Posted February 11, 2014 Thanks, Rob for the explanation. So, if the 760lbft is calculated for / by 4 wheels, does that mean that your car is four wheel drive? I am just trying to understand the Dynapac graphs, so please excuse the questions. Based on your second sentence above, is the torque gain from the supercharger 48lbft? Kodename47 446 Report post Posted February 11, 2014 Its the total output torque so divide total torque by the final drive - 4.1. Remember the FD is a torque multiplier. 2 Pitman and rob275 reacted to this
rob275 1817 Report post Posted February 11, 2014 use Steves response, he understands the dyno better! Currently 48lbft gain yes 1 Pitman reacted to this
Pitman 188 Report post Posted February 11, 2014 Thank you, Rob and Steve. So on the basis of Steve's reply, I guess the run was done in 4th gear (which is AFAIK 1:1).
Kodename47 446 Report post Posted February 11, 2014 5th is 1:1. Its 4th in the auto.
Pitman 188 Report post Posted February 12, 2014 Oops, meant 5th. My excuse, I had a long day yesterday, and it was late
Mark@Abbey M/S 235 Report post Posted February 12, 2014 maximum pointers swapped around so a minus figure isn't shown. We are working on getting rid off the small dip.

Quixote 35 Report post Posted February 12, 2014 Why is it so lean at low RPMs? I presume the comparison is vs stock? Looks good though...
rob275 1817 Report post Posted February 12, 2014 You're asking the wrong person! Yes its a comparison to how my car was stock. Cat is restricting tbh, i need to get it out and put one in the 2nd cat position.
