Ade 517 Report post Posted April 7, 2016 Are you planning to sprint with the contis? I reckon they'd be decent come rain or shine

I reckon they'd be decent come rain or shine If it's wet I'll use the Contis but if it's dry I'll switch over to the track wheels with the Federal's on. From what I've heard the Contis will get destroyed pretty quickly on a dry track.

In fact so much so I lost the Contisport Contact 5's before the first round still with plenty of tread on to go back to Yoko's. I think the Contis are good as a road tyre though, but they don't provide quite the grip levels of the Yokos. 1 Ade reacted to this
Ade 517 Report post Posted April 7, 2016 Never tried the Yoko 105s. Ive just put full set of Conti sport5s on my Merc. Maybe i should have tried the Yokos. The new conti sport contact 6 just beat the pilot super sport on wet and dry but sadle only on big rims at the moment. Developed for the nee civic type R which is the fastest FWD car round nurburgring.
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted April 7, 2016 But not much chance of a conti 6 being available in stock GT86 sizes which is what I use.

Lauren 2259 Report post Posted April 9, 2016 You're certainly good enough to enter the TSS, Jeff. Doing it massively improves your driving anyway. 1 Deacon reacted to this
