Tweedbean 151 Report post Posted March 8, 2015 Hi all, is there anything specific I need to do in a GT86 to avoid it throwing up warning lights etc when switching from cloth to alcantara seats? Is it a case of disconnecting the battery, leave for 15 mins, complete the swap, leave a further 15 mins then reconnect battery?
rob275 1817 Report post Posted March 8, 2015 As long as battery is disconnected shouldnt be any issue. Why wait 15 mins though? It'll proba take you 30 mins to swap them anyway 1 Tweedbean reacted to this
Tweedbean 151 Report post Posted March 8, 2015 Thanks. 15 mins wait is a mini thing, wasnt sure if it was the same for other cars, hence the question. Im hoping the switch of seats should be pretty quick job, done it many times on the MINI.
GT86Jay 202 Report post Posted March 9, 2015 You only get problems if you go for seats with out the Airbags or Pressure sensors in. Will be fine going from cloth to leather. The car sees them as no different. 1 Tweedbean reacted to this
