Turbo Ordered

Recommended Posts

Called Fensport Friday, spoke to Tim booked in for 18th May. Excellent service as usual, just need to email with Stage and requirements, so can get ready for date. Other tuners & suppliers could take lessons here in customer service. Looking forward to meeting you all. Captain G

It's a shame Adrian hasn't had a Google virtual tour of his premesis to show the world how prestigious his work place is. Nudge nudge wink wink ;)

Dropped my car back to Fensport at lunchtime today (Sunday).

Cap'n - No doubt you have discerned from the Forum that there are two top-rated deluxe afterburners (by public acclaim) for our beloveds. You have Mark at Abbey Sport and Adrian at Fensport.

As a personal rating I would value

(..shite..)

As a personal view I would value Abbey Motorsport for supercharging and Fensport for turbocharging.

I have noted that the Abbey/Fensport approach to engine mapping is different. Adrian loses out because he does not have a rolling road/hub dyno but claims that on-road mapping is more realistic.

Adrians approach takes time - Mark can re-flash a map and re-evaluate on his hub dyno in ten minutes, determine the results and evaluate. Adrian does the same thing but he's on the road, tweaks the base maps to your specific car and then gives it beans..

Now we also have TDI (based in Thurrock, Essex). Not GT86 proficient but look at their credentials and they are worth considering. I've been there (for a base map run on their rolling road) and I will be going back again.

I had all my work done on my old car, FN2 245bhp, at TDI North. Second to none on the Honda scene, have great customer service and loads of experience with loads of other makes and models.

Paul uses the dyno to do base tune for approx 2 hours then on the road for the third hour.
