faith 237 Report post Posted February 7, 2016 Hiya Guys I will be in Manchester on Wednesday 17th February for a study day, and staying over. So if anyone is free in the evening, does anyone fancy meeting up?
Mike 458 Report post Posted February 9, 2016 It'd be rude not to 1 faith reacted to this

Lauren 2259 Report post Posted February 9, 2016 Should be okay, just need to decide where. Wherabouts in Manchester are you staying? 1 faith reacted to this
faith 237 Report post Posted February 9, 2016 Cool, well I don't know Manchester, so you guys will have to help me out with recommendations. Mike has kindly offered to put me up, so I'm staying wherever he lives ;-)
Mike 458 Report post Posted February 9, 2016 That'd be Lymm but anywhere is fine really, happy for Lauren to suggest somewhere as it can be dog friendly then if Mark/Indy are coming?
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted February 9, 2016 That's not Manchester, Faith! But that's okay, we can meet somewhere for food out of Manchester. 2 Rich and faith reacted to this
Mike 458 Report post Posted February 11, 2016 I said to put Manchester because that's where her study day is, and more people will know it
Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted February 11, 2016 Lymm's nicer though ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Mike reacted to this
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted February 11, 2016 This any good in Lymm? http://www.thewheatsheaflymm.co.uk/index.asp Or http://jollythresher.co.uk Or the Spread Eagle, food menu looks good! http://www.spreadeaglelymm.co.uk/food-and-drink All are Indy friendly. 1 Rich reacted to this
Mike 458 Report post Posted February 12, 2016 I only know of the Jolly Thresher as my parents have been a few times and have said its fine. I'd favour the first 2, parking would be an issue at Spread Eagle.
Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted February 12, 2016 Sounds like an S&M club... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 rob275 and Kirsty80 reacted to this

Mike 458 Report post Posted February 12, 2016 Cool, can pop in my way home. I assume 7 - 7:30ish will be fine? @Nicebiscuit are you coming? Or should I just book a table for 6 anyway?
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted February 12, 2016 What time then Mike? I reckon 7pm is a better bet, give people a chance to get there in the rush hour traffic.
Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted February 12, 2016 I would - sounds fun - but me and my Toyota are going to be 1500m up in the French Alps next week. Next time definitely... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted February 12, 2016 Surely there won't be much in the way of any passes open at this time of the year?
Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted February 12, 2016 Well.... There would have been. My usual route is over the Col du Lauteret to Briancon - open all winter. Usually at least 20km driving on snow But that's off the menu due to a tunnel collapse over summer. So unfortunately it's the Frejus tunnel and then round the back via Italy. The road from Sauze D'Oulx down to Briancon is quite nice though. Cracking views.
Mike 458 Report post Posted February 12, 2016 Ok table booked at Jolly Thresher for 7pm. Booked for 6 people in case anyone else wants to come. 1 Rich reacted to this
Rich 378 Report post Posted February 12, 2016 That works for me, Lymm is more convenient than Manchester. 1 Mike reacted to this
Rich 378 Report post Posted February 17, 2016 Nice to see people this evening, quite a cosy gathering. I'm still full after that steak.
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted February 18, 2016 Yep, nice little meet and good to catch up. I wonder if that pub is a good place for a monthly meet? We could certainly do with a little more happening in the NW. 2 shaunharper13 and Rich reacted to this
Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted February 19, 2016 I'd be up for it. I'm not usually abroad... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Lauren reacted to this
