smudge 1020 Report post Posted March 19, 2016 So the V8 swap is well underway, but 1 thing I haven't been able to confirm is how the MOT test for emissions works? The engine is a 1UZ coming from a 1995 Soarer. Obviously the regulations for emissions back then was a lot more lenient than that of today, and as far as I know the MOT test goes by the reg on the car? So I'll be tested for 2013 emissions regulations with a 1995 engine? Anyone had experience of this before? Is there a way around it at all apart from having a "friendly" MOT tester? Other forums seem to give varying answers when I've been researching it
rob275 1817 Report post Posted March 19, 2016 To be honest you're only going to get the right answer straight from the horses mouth i'd imagine! I certainly don't know the answer and there's no point anybody assuming.
