Second service

Recommended Posts

My car is coming up to 2 years old and i think the Toyota service is a pocket molesting £399 just because they do a few bodged fluid changes or something. Is there a GT86 specialist place I can go to for a service as I know it doesn't have to be done at toyota or a toyota dealer that does a proper job that anyone knows of. I am just south of leciester. I'm asking as I'm pretty sure I'd be a lot better off changing the fluids myself or having it done at fensport when i get my piping put in and a map but i still dont trust toyota to leave the fluids as is if I expressly tell them too or do a decent overall job from the stories ive heard from people and my car came overfilled with oil when i Purchased it. Thanks alot!

We charge £269.00 inc VAT for Year 2 / 20,000 mile service.

Genuine service items used.

Thanks

I'm sold. I'll check my book to see exactly when it needs doing! Instead of genuine service parts could I get the better fluids instead if it makes a difference or maybe I've just spend a couple too many hours on YouTube. Also I missed out on stokeys second hand turbo so do yourselvrs  ever have used forced intake kits available for sale at a reduced cost I'm not too fussed on whether it's a turbo or supercharger as long as it's kinder on my pockets!

Fluids are completely upto yourself, for your warranty I would keep your engine oil as per the book to save any potential issues.

Diff oils we stock some alternative oils here if you wanted :)

Forced induction options at the moment are only new i'm afraid, feel free to give me a shout to discuss any options :)

Thanks

Mike

That's a little scathing. There are decent dealers out there, RRG is a good example and I would trust mine. However that is a little pricey.

What needs to be done: Service Schedule

  • Oil & Filter
  • Brake Fluid
  • Diff Oil
  • Pollen Filter

Some do Gear Oil but the schedule I've seen is 4 years on a manual.

Was it definitely overfilled? The dipstick reads differently on both sides.... it's the lower of the 2.

I bought it from a little dealer in Torbay Torquay it wasn't even really cleaned and they had no idea what extras it had ect and it has been their demo car I asked if it had been run on premium fuel and he said it's best to just give it a tank every now and then of the premium stuff 😂😂

It's just a check on gear oil, it isn't changed. I'm still on my original gearbox oil at 96K miles.
