I picked up my 2015 BRZ back in November 2018 direct from Subaru in Cambridge with 14k miles on the clock. I am the 2nd owner as the 1st owner sold the car back to Subaru as he was unable to drive it due to ill health.

I attended the Museum of Power Cars and Coffee event less than 24 hours of picking the car up. (Picture taken by the event below)

 

The 1st thing I did was fit a Pioneer AVH-Z5000DAB head unit (ordered before collecting the car) with Apple Car Play (work phone) & Android Auto (personal phone), this was chosen as I could have both phones connected via Bluetooth at the same time, little did I know the BRZ doesn't have DAB in the UK even though the radio has a DAB button, I tried a DAB aerial split, which didn't work with the shark fin, I tired a mag mount mounted upside down in the boot which was better but still wasn't great, so I took the plunge and replace the Sharkfin aerial with a proper DAB / FM aerial. Having used this for trips to Norwich and back the signal doesn't drop out (like the other half's Duster). The other high priority item was to fit a reverse camera (Fensport) so I didn't back into anything as the rear visibility is limited at the best of times and my driveway is tight between 2 houses.

After this I decided to address the other shortfall with the BRZ, the lack of boot luggage nets or clips. I brought a net off eBay and a Summit Racing C Pillar brace which was really easy to fit once I had worked out where it went, I have since hung a net from the brace and removed the dangling straps.

Then the Saturday just gone I got bored and decided to fit the HKS Intake Duct and HKS panel filter, which involved taking the front bumper off, I cant belive how difficult it is to take the side repeaters off.

Difference between OEM and HKS

Future plans are HKS UEL manifold, cross over pipe and exhaust with remap.

Well done! All interesting. Has the intake change made a difference to performance, you think? And did it change the intake noise through sound generator?

I think so. Came back from Norfolk with the seats folded and the car seemed a bit stiffer. Mainly fitted it to put a luggage net on

Addressed another major gripe I had with the car a couple of weeks ago. Got 2 X Perrin boot (trunk) closure grips to stop me having to hold the boot latch to shut the boot or get dirty fingers. It was a little bit nerve racking drilling 2 X 10mm holes for the riv-nut so close to the outer boot skin. Being an American product the instructions say to use an imperial drill bit but I converted it to mm.

Also with wanting to do the odd track day and maybe a drift day here and there I thought it would be a good idea to have a fire extinguisher. Found a mount on eBay from Australia that bolts to the front seat runner bolts and thanks to 2 hand screws you can quickly remove the extinguisher to move the seat forward to gain access to the rear. One thing to keep in mind is the import duties are about £20 on this item.

Always a good idea to have a fire extinguisher. I've always had one, fits well enough in the glovebox.

Looks great, and a great addition for track usage, although I hope you never have to use it.

Bracket looks good but have found that, as suggested by Lauren, a 1kg type ABC extinguisher fits nice and snug in the glove box and can be reached from both front seats.  This may well do the trick.
