Nemesis 15 Report post Posted April 18, 2019 Just wondering what degreasers people use before applying sound deadening to panels, is it worth getting a panel wipe type degreaser or something else

Mike 458 Report post Posted April 18, 2019 I didn't use anything on the doors. Did run my hand over them as they looked dirty but hand was clean and dry. Time will tell!
JohnM 25 Report post Posted April 18, 2019 I just wiped the panels clean and then heated up the panel and sound deadening before applying. Touch wood so far none has come off.
will300 812 Report post Posted April 18, 2019 The most I did was hoover the boot out and then use some anti-bac wipes on any remaining crap. The rest of the car was fair clean, the lower half of the doors were abit grubby, but the sound deadening still stuck. You shouldn't need to heat the panels if it's a nice day, this weekend should be perfect.
