Had an awesome day at Bedford yesterday with @willclarke and @will300. Car was absolutely faultless even in the near 30° heat and it was me giving out way before the car! Oil temps never got over 116° even after an 8 lap stint. Running with the bonnet vents open seems to be good for around a 10° reduction in oil temperature as @will300 was running around 10° higher than me and we have the same oil cooler. The pfc.08 pads were absolutely faultless - stopping power was incredible, pedal feel was really good and they showed no sign of fade. Will gave me some caliper temperature stickers which showed the calipers were getting plenty warm but still no sign of fade The AD08RS's were also excellent with fantastic grip and minimal wear in the high temperatures although even they went off a bit after about 3 laps in the high afternoon temperatures. Schroth Asm 3 harnesses were also really good and gave a really nice sense of connection to the car. Couple of random pictures from the day

Sorry guys/gals, I have a couple of questions - I know VAD told me it's not necessary, but did any of you buy insurance for this event? - I would like some advice on tyres - I only have had this car for a couple of months and it came with the original (circa 2015!) primacy tyres in the front and rear, but someone has replaced only one tyre at the front right - a primacy 3 instead of primacy HP.. I measure the depths and it was ~4mm at the rears and 6-7mm at the fronts. I was thinking of replacing all 4 with Yoko V105s, but wasn't sure if i should do it before or after the event.. I'm just afraid if i change it before the event I might damage my brand new-ish tyres.. Thanks

To reiterate Spikyone's statement, the old readings were as per NEDC and hence higher. The new readings are as per WLTP and when it was launched the road tax slabs were also changed to reflect new CO2 calculations. I think WLTP was implemented in Sept 2017 and all manufacturers had to comply and universally MPG went down. Some websites still have the old NEDC values while others have WLTP.
