It was indeed a good day, we should do it again, good to have couple GT86s and practice in safe and friendly environment. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

What a day! Really enjoyed that today. Felt like I've connected more with the car, and that there's so much more to learn that I first realised! Cheers for organising the night before Vad, hope you get the TD manifold issue sorted Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

On my drive to work without really trying I saw 67.4mpg. That's a mix of rush hour traffic, smart motorway limits for half a 20 mile journey. I reckon I could have easily got more than that. I noticed that with cruise control on the motorway in a 50mph smart motorway limit it actually cruised on electric which was quite impressive. I average around 40mpg in my GT86 on the same trip. I'm sure I could push it over 70mpg if I tried.

Having driven the Yaris 1.3 Hybrid, Auris 1.8 Hybrid, CH-R 1.8 Hybrid and New Corolla 1.8 Hybrid, I averaged 80mpg in all but the Yaris without trying. Like Rob said you have to change your style of driving otherwise the car will not get anywhere near the quoted figures! I have owned a Honda Jazz 1.3 Hybrid in the past as my work car and saw 60mpg on most days and between 450 too 600 miles to a tank of fuel. Must get a Test Drive in the New 2.0 and New 2.5 Hybrids at some point. Many thanks Lauren for your in depth test drive in the New 2.0 Hybrid. Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk

@BRZ-123 They can be good on the motorway, you need to adjust your driving style drastically, you can't just sit on the pedal you need to feather it constantly to get the best out of them. I was regularly able to get 70-80mpg in my Auris when I had it. This would likely be a little less with the 2.0 Corolla.

Thanks for all the welcomes everybody. Will no doubt end up at fuel for the next few weekends, seems to be a running trend at the moment for me. It couldnt be much closer to me unless it was in my back garden. Silver was never my first choice of colour, however I saw a silver brz at a mazda dealership and liked the colour. Kept holding out for a white car but was going on a road trip with a friend and wanted a car for it. With a week before we set off, I found the silver car down in devon, was a super deal and couldn’t resist. Love the colour now, although I think it might prove hard to colour match with if I ever tweak the car.
