Club Events for the rest of 2019

Hope you all had a great summer and it was really good to see many of you at shows, track days and social events.😁 Just thinking what events we may want to do/ organise for the rest of the year. We have Fuel Coffee House meet tomorrow and Yakushi Show next weekend, but here are few more potential events to think of: Sunday, Sep 29th: Jap Show Finale at Santa Pod http://www.japshowfinale.co.uk/index.php?fbclid=IwAR00_SHI-kwCFC88Rz-a8RPVhc0Vu_FJVUBs32uFqJbZ_jxQK9KiTaMxGYk Sunday, Oct 6th: TRAX at Silverstone http://www.traxshows.co.uk/trax-silverstone-home (I know many people don't like TRAX 🙄) Sunday, Oct 6th: German vs Jap Bfast Meet at Ockham Bites Saturday, Oct 12th: Action Day Finale at Castle Combe https://castlecombecircuit.co.uk/shows/action-day-finale (we don't usually have many people interested in Castle Combe events) I am also doing track days at Thruxton on Monday Sep 30th and Silverstone on Saturday Nov 16th if anyone would like to join (both with Opentrack) Club track day at Bedford last year was popular, we can do it again, good for those who want to try track days for the 1st time (although check your noise level). May be wet (and cold) but its getting reasonably inexpensive. Would be great to hear wishes and suggestions!😎

    Big brake kit time?

I totally get that you are right and this is I guess the point that @Deacon is making they are not necessary if you are doing a few trackdays a year and as Jeff pointed out track orientated pads with matching discs will be up for the job if you are. So yes, not worth it for the majority of owners who go and have a play. Even in the sprint series the stock calipers with different pads will do the job and won't hold you back from being competitive. Look at Rob Dowsett competing in my class in a stock car bar PS4's. He's not far off. I would concur with @Ade for the reason for going BBK as I do at lot of miles on the road.

    Catback that looks like std?

I ended up looking nothing like standard. I went with the HKS Spec-L. It sounds only subtly different from stock, a little less noticeable than I expected but when I go to a new manifold I expect it to still have a neighbour friendly non-chavtastic kind of sound. Sadly, the planned manifold swap will have to wait as I had a house boiler failure this week and replaced it this morning robbing me of close to £3k in the process.
