Oh i have found a few, even found a wrecker that i was gonna rebuild! But couldn't justify the cost. They are currently around the 19-20k mark, so time will tell - the saving is going ok, its just car cost plus tax etc. Hi Lauren, the prob is because it is made for one market ie Japan, they remove the international validation, that compassed with changing the exhaust means that when de-registered it leaves a few boxes unticked for the import sheet, so work has to be done to get it back to spec then to have an IVA, the spoiler would need to be removed/new bootlid etc. Have a matching rear fog ready to go, also have a UK cluster to pop in, so that should be easy enough to work out. Its ok, the time is making them cheaper and getting me a good knowledge of mods I want to do, plus have sooo many parts stock piled already, can add if interested!

Bringing an 86 back from the dead

As you can tell it's been full steam ahead on the 86 with the recent goings on and i've managed to get another big step finished at the end of last week just before my birthday - Making the first big cuts on the car and installing the front Arches! It was a big step to get at the car with the angry tools but it went by so quickly and came out quite well. You'll see from the video and pictures just how much I decided to cut away but what isn't quite shown is how many times I went back to tidy up the cuts. So far i'm just going around the car to get the initial cuts sorted, rust proofed and the arches fitted with the supplied self tapping screws (yes, really!) before i eventually go around the whole car once again for a second revision pass where i'll remove the panels, clean up any rough cuts, better rust-proof the affected areas with a proper sanding back, primer and underseal as well as shaving down any high spots on the Rocket bunny panels that can lead to a nicer smoother fit and finish on the kit overall when they're resolved and of course drill out the holes made by the screws using them as guides for my Rubber Well-nuts and bolts! Below is the latest youtube video showing off the whole process: https://youtu.be/2zdG1lK-3uQ And some follow up pictures!

tweedbean's Porsche RS Green BRZ Build

Day 47: The repair process begins again. So last week I had a contactless collection of the BRZ as its booked in at a crash collision centre to get the slam panel welded in and ensure everything else is straight. I'm waiting on an update from them this week. Once its done it will come straight back for me to start preparing it for paint. Untitled by James Baker, on Flickr I also purchased a used SARD style wing which I had delivered via courier. The clear coat has a bit of damage from a pigeon strike, however that will be repaired by my local bodyshop and the side brackets are in solid condition but needed a refresh so I removed the stickers, sanded them down and gave them a blast over with primer before they go full matt black. Once finished it will look like new for a fraction of the cost: Untitled by James Baker, on Flickr I also received another delivery from Subaru, this time the wheel arch liners, numerous clips, 1 of 2 washer jet covers (The other is on back order from Japan) and the headlight rubber seals (2 of the most expensive bits of rubber I will ever order, ridiculous but needed to bridge the gap between the headlights and the bumpers). I also purchased a used rear bumper as mine was damaged by the previous owner reversing it into something. It was damaged on the textured part which I didnt realise was moulded to the entire bumper, so decided theres no point painting a damaged bumper if I cant replace that textured bit at a later date, hence the new one. If anyone wants a cheap white rear bumper with a couple of marks on the textured part, give me a shout. I have also joined the group buy run by Jordan for the HID setup for the Vland headlights to get some decent light output from them.
