    Scangauge 2 XGauge Codes

    Hi All, I’ve been tinkering with my Scangauge to show my Oil Temp and Auto Gearbox Temp. Most codes you’ll find online are for the FRS so they are in DegF instead of DegC, but i’ve managed to get a load of useful gauge codes and thought I’d share. I’dd add more useful codes as I find them.     I did post up on the FB group a while ago that all recalls were cancelled. The problem is though RRG have returned to work a couple of weeks ago, they are running reduced numbers in the workshop with only three mechanics in and Takumi, Gary is not yet back in as he is still furloughed. I don't think he will be back till the end of the month and it is a struggle with the social distancing stuff and all that. So yes the problem is down to the issues around the pandemic and not having a full workforce in, plus the issues of the mechanics being in close proximity to each other. I had a good old chat with Richard when my car was in for new discs and pads a couple of weeks ago and he said that that they are still very much working out how to operate safely, for all involved, which is harder than you might think. I don't yet know when normal service will resume, but on the plus side, if your valve springs do fail which is unlikely, you will be be covered as it's not your fault. I think all you can be is patient at this point.

    My car was booked in for Monday just gone have heard nothing official from RRG ( second time cancelled) by the time this gets sorted I might be living five and a half hours away so wont be done. I wouldn't worry too much about it anyway if your engine goes bang it will just get fixed by Toyota.

    It was something they offered, essentially for free (so they can take some nice glossy pics of the car for social media I imagine as its a change from the usual audi, bmw or tesla) but it'll make the car easier to wash in the future - more protection is never a bad thing but isn't as much functional on a wrap rather than paint.

    Really good choice of colour Sam . I love Red. If you get a chance, have a look at 3M Satin Smouldering Red. It has a nice Matt finish. In terms of costs, how much are Monster charging you? and are they doing door shuts to keep the nice look flowing?

    Looking awesome. How does the wrap work with the arches and rivets - will they wrap the metal, and the arches seperately and then they'll be re-mounted? Or wrapped over the joints?

    I run 2.5 degrees at the front with the TEIN pillowball top mounts. You don't need camber bolts.

    Just ordered: TE37 Saga 17x9 et42 5x100 Face 3 Diamond Dark Gunmetal wheels (via Lucas - lead time into August/September!) and Reyland AP 4 pot BBK Now doing a bit more reading about suspension before deciding. Possibly Tein Flex A, with some camber bolts and lower camber arms? Also about to confirm with Royal Steering Wheels a nice Alcantara retrim - black with white stitching and yellow centre stripe!

    Over the recent weekend I was able to have a few friends over to the workshop and over the course of a single very sunny Sunday the whole Rocket bunny kit is now prepped for its wrap. I'm quite lucky that a couple of my friends have wrapped parts of their cars before and one of them even works in the bodywork department at BMW (We gave him the whole front bumper to do!) so I knew they'd do a good job alongisde me! We started off by keying up the panels with some 320 grit and getting rid of any motting/orange peel in the FRP as well as any extra blobs of material that were stuck to the surface, followed by a couple of healthy coats of grey high build primer. Once it was dry and ready to sand we applied any filler or knifing putty in areas that needed it, there were a couple of cracks and some scratches or air bubbles that had to be filled and finally all the panels were finished to a wet 800 grit finish which should be plenty for the wrap to adhere to nicely and no inperfections to speak of! The video for it can be found here: We all really liked how the front bumper turned out in its sanded back primer look ironically, it sort of looked like a comic book sketch or some kind of video game (If anyone's played Borderlands you'll know exactly what i mean!) But in just under 2 weeks the car will be off to Monster Wraps in Southhampton to have the wrap applied and I can't wait! I've got some small jobs to get done before then and I need to continue work on the diffuser so that it's ready by the time the car is complete.

    Dynapack Comparison_SC's versus Turbo

    The only thing missing from this test is an Avo & Sprintex combo, loved to see what that would look like on the Dyno....could you pair an Avo with an HKS charger? Is there enough room?
