GR Yaris who's going for it?

It arrived yesterday in the dark. I'm all ready for Saturday.

GR Yaris who's going for it?

Reminds me of these..... Even the rear.... Just one less set of doors and some nice alloys.... (oh and rally team development and AWD, as if that matters 🤣)

GR Yaris who's going for it?

Love the fact it doesn't look like a BMW.

Any reasonable solution to battery drain?

Went with with the Yuasa YBX3031, 3000, 72Ah, 630A , 18.4 Kg, dimensions 26.0 *17.4* 22.5 (£74.49 delivered) With it being 260mm wide rather than 230mm of our stock battery it fits the battery tray perfectly as there is just a few mm all around the base but still contained within the tray itself. The HSB072 at 26.9mm would have been resting on the raised edges of the tray. So given the better fit and higher rating I would definitely recommend it. Oh and used the Varta D47 disconnected on the Celica to keep power to the gt86 during change over so at least that battery has now been used this year 😂

    GT86 Severe Knocking Sound

I’m sure they can swap a few ancillary items over and yes some have done over 100,000 with no issues

Good that they're taking responsibility. Again, I stress - the help you get in this situation is 100% down to what you ask for, and how much you push. They want to give you nothing extra, and for you to suffer silently (nothing personal, it's just the way business works). I'd be calling daily, politely pointing out that I am without my sports car due to their error and that I am unhappy and would like a resolution ASAP. - MENTION the owners/drivers club forums. I would push for a GT86 courtesy car, personally. I would point out that the only acceptable alternative would be an immediate lumpsum to cover the market value of the car plus a fair daily charge for time without it to-date - so you can return yourself to the situation you were in prior to their mistake.

"Good" that it's a problem with the work that was done. Now it's their problem to sort it. It'll leave you without the car for a while, but also without a hole in your wallet.

I've had the timing chain go on my Celica and that was months and several thousand miles after any work was done it on the engine. It only needs it to jump one tooth for the engine to sound rough but stil function but the tensioner could be keeping it just about in check and may only occur when a combination of things happen. Hard acceleration, engine braking, and just tips the ability of the tensioner to counter the sudden slack.
