Seems to be working now. At the minute on the tapatalk app a moderate button has activated. I'll log into my PC later to check if there is something else that does not show on app. Sent from my SM-G970F using Tapatalk -

I’ve had the OEM flaps fitted for over 3 years. I like them on my black car. Quite subtle. -

Yeah, no worries, will get some pics when I can - might be tomorrow. I haven't forgotten about offering you a ride out in it at some point too, I didn't travel at all over Christmas and obviously we're in lockdown, but if you're still interested we can arrange something when lockdown eases. -

Agree with @jw191, I have the OEM ones on mine too, they're discreet and effective. No idea why they weren't fitted as standard. You can get them direct from Toyota through eBay, or cheaper assuming these are genuine as it says on the listing: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Toyota-GT86-2012-15-Mudflaps-4-Front-And-Rear-Mud-Flaps-Pu060-18013-P1/360772270319 -

I looked upon car .. mine are covered with dirty snow & ice .. certainly no sense in posting any "close-up" pics. Quick search turned up DIY install vid of rallyarmor ones. But as i noted before, i didn't like those brackets being below bumper. I guess if i'd were to choose again, i'd first try rockblokz ones due that reason. Certainly not pleasant to get screwdriver out and fix back detached, when i had reversed against kerb, flaps covered with dirt. -

1 pointI'd give it a go. I'm already a mod elsewhere, which to be honest runs itself. 99% of the folk on there are blokes in their 50's 😂

It's a little hard to explain, I discovered what was buzzing after searching "gt86 door rattle and watching the video I linked, go to 1:40 they show what I mean. In the video they somehow remove it from the plastic piece that screws into the door card. I was too scare of breaking the clips when I tried to remove it so just wrapped mine in a load of electrical tape which seem to have done the trick for now but I think I'm just going to glue it in place when I next have the door cards off but its up to you what you choice to do. The tolerance in the two plastic pieces is shocking and when the volume of the speakers is even moderately loud the control box vibrates like mad making an irritating buzzing sound. Make sure you do the window controls on both door cards as they both vibrate. I'll try and explain better if this still isn't enough -
1 pointworth noting that im sure I have been told the HKS is good for minimal pressure drop.

1 pointPersonally I don't rate HKS kit. Was good in the 90’s but not impressed with the last 10 years of their kit. And I don't think there is anything wrong with the stock pickup. I got the Cosworth sump baffle and a Mishimoto thermostatic oil cooler. Job done. Decent kit and worry free track days

1 pointAh I forgot about Carbotech brake pads, I should add them to my list. Only thing I'd say with the AX6 is they have a working temperature range upto 537°, which might be abit low for track use. I really want to get some of that brake disc temperature paint, but it's so bloody expensive. I've not had any noise from the grooved discs, other than the odd noise when reversing. Clearance should be fine on that size wheel.

1 pointProbably worth mentioning a few people have had scraping issues with Reyland's own discs on track after they heat up. Seems they might expand more than say AP discs. From what I've heard they take bog standard OEM discs from other cars and machine them down. The kit comes with the correct tabs to mount the lines to the shock absorber body.

1 pointThey aren't tight on my ET40 18x7.5's.. but it does depend on the wheel design. Seems unlikely you would have a problem. Also I think red wouldn't look good against orange FWIW.

1 pointI have the HKS kit that sits behind the front-right fog light opening. Build quality seems excellent, no rubbing issues from the hoses on the airbox as it's properly designed and uses a banjo connection. Last winter trackday I did oil temperatures were barely getting over 100! Also fairly easy to block off the intake if you need to, although I haven't bothered so far. The installation needs some plastics trimming behind the bumper slightly, and a hole cut in the wheel arch trim for a mesh to go on (for the heat to exhaust out of the back of the cooler). All documented in the instructions.
