    The Bilstein B8 dampers were installed today, to accompany my existing H&R Super Sport springs. If you wanted to do the whole shebang, you could buy the Bilstein B12 kit, which consists of B8s with Eibach lowering springs. At the same time, lower arm Superpro poly bushes front and rear were installed, as well as Superpro lower control arms, adjustable toe controls and Whiteline anti-roll bar drop links front and rear. It also got a full laser alignment. By the way, I ordered the Bilsteins last October and they only just arrived this week. Be prepared for a long wait. Abbey did the usual superb job and threw two technicians at it, so it was all completed by early afternoon. Ride quality is firm but fluid. You certainly know that you're no longer on stock dampers, but at the same time it remains supple and always in control. There is no bounce, especially over large undulations. There is certainly no crashing or harshness. It's just firm. But that leads to... Roadholding. Goodness me, this is different! In the damp conditions driving home, and off motorway as much as I could, the level of grip and control around bends and coming off corners and roundabouts is on a different planet. Being able to put down a goodly amount of supercharger power and not have it scrabbling for grip is amazing. No, I didn't sneak a set of 255s on the wheels, they're still 235 PS4s. However, I am not used to being able to give it so much pedal so early coming off a corner. It really is a new kind of fun. Was it worth it? I think so, as the investment in a good boosted setup is wasted if you don't pay as much attention to the chassis, and stopping, as it needs.

    I prefer my GT86 being serviced by a specialist rather than any Toyota dealership. Tuning Developments for example is nearly 50% cheaper than what you've been quoted by Toyota (although there is risk you'll end up buying few other bits if you visit Mike [emoji38]). Tbh, my car has not been serviced by Toyota dealership once in nearly 4yrs of ownership (and I get it serviced every 6mth as I have turbo kit and regularly track it). As long as genuine service parts are used the warranty should not be affected (I had few minor bits fixed and battery replaced under warranty). Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

    I am sure someone with one will be able to offer some feedback. I got so confused with which manifolds were better then others in the end I just went with a complete package. When I was looking there wasn't a 2nd hand manifold available so the price of hand picking new parts vs the TD package was less. So I went for the drive up north and found myself a cheap hotel and let mike work his magic.

    I think most of these points were covered in the other topic. But for emissions you will lose one cat from the manifold but retain the under car cat. I have this same setup on my car with the Tuning developments manifold. It will fail an MOT if they test it cold. But if you take it for a hard drive before had to get it nice and hot it will pass fine. I have done this for the last 3 years without issue with a very picky MOT station.

    Certainly possible to get a cheaper price then the Tuning Developments package with second hand parts etc. Would be worth contacting the likes of Abbey directly for advice though. In the end I just went with the tuning developments package as it was drive in and drive out and I knew all the parts were hand picked to give a good proven package. Certainly wouldnt be attempting to map a car myself though unless I knew exactly what I was doing. Gets very expensive if you get it wrong!

    If that's the route you want to take, go for it. It's also worth mentioning when ordering the Fuji manifold directly from the supplier it also comes with the overpipe, but there is no mention of that in the 2nd hand sales thread See: https://www.importcarparts.co.uk/parts-info?id=14006&cat=89&sub=3583&sec=0&var=0&dc=&gen=&searchKey=&searchPart= Not that you should need the overpipe as it should fit the standard one.

    No, it's not like an Open Flash Tablet where there are maps readly available for everyone. You need to purchase a custom map from a tuner or create your own. Fensport is £336.00 for mapping without an Ecutek License. If you need a license it's: £552.00

    The simplest thing for you to do, is take it to Fensport / Abbey / Tuning Developements / Amber Performance and ask them to map it for you. If you want to remote map your car using a pre-made map you need: Ecutek kit with Programming Ecutek License - Assuming your car doesn't already have a license assigned to it. If you wanted to create your own custom map you also need, in addition to the above. Ecutek RaceRom - BRZ Upgrade for Pro ECU Fensport offer a rental Ecutek programming kit, which might be a good option. You'd still need the license and someone to tune it.
