Well .. actually when dealership during regular maintenance supposedly did "brake diagnostics", they should have caught it, and do some overhaul job, eg. cleaning some rust, relubing, changing rubber bushings on guides and so on.. So i wouldn't exactly call it "inevitable"

Good on you for finding the issue. This is a common failure mode, but it takes years to happen for the first time. If the slide plates and the carrier underneath them are not kept in good order, sticking pads are inevitable. Looks like some rather ugly corrosion on the top end of the squeal shim!

The kit was updated after the issues that I said about above , with a little time on Google your see the HKS kit part number has changed. We have sold a fair few of the later kits ( early kits that failed while in warranty where replaced with the Up-dated kit) Just remembered I had to chase you for my loaner Ecutek kit took you over a month of chasing for it to be returned? Did you sell the car?

I'm afraid "not replying to me within 8 hours" is not an acceptable defense!

I have this and its very good. Pricey but even with decat manifold, and hfc front pipe it's still quite respectable volume-wise and no drone [emoji106]. If you are stock manifold and front pipe you might find it slightly too quiet though Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk
