Well yeah, 2 days at Angersea + Many laps around the ring :+:I think there was already a reason I couldn't make the 9th, but Google seems to have deleted the calendar where I had everything stored. So NFC now..

Good question - Would have been at JAE, but had a conflict with a wedding instead. I was just looking at the events section to see what is coming up :+:

Evening / morning all,As per the last forum update thread we've increased the server capacity after some performance problems earlier on today. Hopefully it'll now be quicker for everybody

Some DNS changes this evening. If you can read this, then all is well :+:

There is one, and it was at least competing in the Japanese rally championship. Probably some better videos out there, but to get you started :+:

Yeah, they certainly didn't used to do them, and I don't think that has changed.

Car isn't going to get modified in the next 12 months, so went back with Direct Line again. ~£320. Still baffles me how it can be £500 cheaper than my old (non-turbo, non-modified, non-quick) old Scooby.Happy days

I'm covered for business miles (since the car technically is doing some business miles at the moment). No mods though :tongue:I was genuinely interested as to what the renewal would work out to be. I had a chat with Ollie (sky insurance man) at JAE last year - his thoughts at the time were that Direct line were touting for business (and they were not really sure where to price the twins) so the renewal might be a bit of a shock to the system after everybody has had a year to figure out the costs of insuring GT86s/BRZs. That has not proved to be the case, and my renewal is pretty much the same as the initial policy cost 12 months ago.(I've moved in the last 12 months, so a direct comparison on price isn't quite fair)

How many miles and how long have you had your car?
speedy replied to Lauren's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
I've had mine since August 2012 and it's currently somewhere around 23'000 miles. Love it -
Rob and I have totally been touching the forums this afternoon. Let me know if it's still a problem or if it seems to have improved.

Vortech idler pulleys seizing and belts breaking
speedy replied to GT86-Ian's topic in Modifications
Superchargers and idlers failing.. sounds oddly familiar - some big pulley kits for the 4AGZE had the same problem, I certainly had a Fensport one go. -
Wow, 12 months does go quickly. Letter through the post from DVLA. Apparently I have to pay them some more money for the privilege of driving on the roads. Clearly they don't know who I am, or how much joy I bring to the other users of the road.Gone for the 6 month option to split tax and insurance/MOT when we get there..

6 months - £12112 months - £220Although the first years tax was included, it works out to about 1.2p a mile so far.. so just drive more to make it better value for money

Looks like a really neat install - have you got any pictures of the doors now it's all back together?

Autoexpress magazines Top 100 Fast Cars, ???
speedy replied to BRZ2's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Agreed that it doesn't really make sense for them to be 12 places apart though. -
Probably needs another thread - but what are the gearbox problems?
-
Pretty rubbish bluejacking myself. I'll have to try and narrow down the variables then and see if I can reproduce the problem. I suspect it's under higher engine load - with the A/C running, and going up hill, but I have no proof.

This has probably happened 2 or 3 times now. Happily listening to some banging tunes on the standard stereo (something like a nice Neil Diamond, Paul Simon or DeadMau5) via bluetooth from my phone. Then I drive under some trees. This causes the auto headlights to turn on, and as the relay flicks on for the headlights the bluetooth connection drops out. I think it goes straight to 'audio off' mode, but i'm usually so furious with this interrupting the Foo Fighters (or the Archers podcast), that I haven't really taken that in. Either way, hitting the source button and then going back to Bluetooth brings it back to life again.Anybody else seen this? Standard head unit (with SatNav), iPhone bluetooth.I guess the headlights generate a large spike in the cars electrical system as they switch on, and it's enough to cause the headunit to freak out and drop the connection..

Forum logo image scaling / Chrome & Android
speedy replied to DextersTechLab's topic in Requests & Issues
It has the same scaling issue on Chrome for iOS.. -
Ah, fair enough then - i've certainly seen replacements for the side badges, just never the rear badge. Looks like a very tidy job.
-
I don't know - there is only the communication between the headunit and my phone going on, nothing else is talking.Nice to think i'm driving around in the bluetooth version of an EMP.

I've heard Laurens Millitek system - won't deny that it sounded good, but I'm happy with it as is.
