There should be like an arrangement of spacers or washers with it as well which you fit with your standard top mount. If you haven't got the instructions for that I'll check my email and see if I can find them

I have metal ones on the front. The redesigned ones should come with a tapered spring for the rear and you have to use your standard top mounts. This was to eliminate the noise transfer problem myself and a lot of others had. So, in short. Metal front, OEM rear (as long as you've got the tapered spring). If your rears came with a metal top mount already fitted, send them back and ask for the new ones. Trust me, you'll have them back off after your first drive due to the noise.

    Camber bolts?

I have a brand new set of super pro rear bushes up for grabs. I bought for mine and I didn't need to use them, never been fitted, packaging opened to check contents. Pm me if you're interested

    Bassett's GT86

Looks great! Welcome to ownership, you won't be disappointed! Little tip for you regarding the Toms lights as I have these. If you want the red lense version, get them from RHD Japan. They were very similarly priced to Japan Parts, but without asking they marked the goods value down so I didn't get royally stung with import charges. I think with VAT and handling charge it was somewhere around £35.

    Air con dilemma!

Walked out of work today into a nice 30 degree heat. Jump into my 86 and flick the air con on, nothing but hot air. Give it the benefit of the doubt and give it a minute but nothing, 5 minute drive with the windows down so I don't overheat and still nothing but hot air! It's a 2012 with 19,200 miles on the clock. Just less than 3 year old. I very very rarely use the air con in my car, I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I've used it in the 7 months I've owned it. But it's always been ice cold before. Sound like just a case of needing to be regassed? Or could it be something else? I'm getting the car into my local dealer on Thursday hopefully! Anyone else had similar issues?

    Air con dilemma!

To be honest, I've probably worded it wrong. I only knowingly hit th a/c button very rarely, however it probably comes on with the window de mister mode and when I have it in auto mode regularly as well. But I'm glad it's being sorted, once the service manager got involved he explained it all clearly and we were on the right page. It was just his receptionist who kept giving me all the wrong information and had an arrogant attitude that was what wound me up. At least I'll have working air con for my trip to France in 2 weeks

    Air con dilemma!

So, after going between my dealer and Toyota Techincal we got the car on diagnostics today and turns out it's a fault with the compressor. The sealed cap on the bottom is leaking, there was zero gas at all in the system. Being replaced in Thursday and refilled all under warranty

    Air con dilemma!

Silver lining in this, is the fact that having just got off the phone with Toyota technical again due to dealers being incompetent. They've told me unless its damage to the air con rad, I won't be paying for the recharge of the system. That they will cover the cost. From the front the rad core looks good with no stone damage so fingers crossed!

    Air con dilemma!

Depends how much the cost on that is really. Technical rang me back and said they'd contacted the dealer directly to find out exactly what has gone on and after a lengthy discussion they said the dealer would contact me directly and bend over backwards to rectify this. But no word from the dealer yet, rang them myself and they've said they're waiting to hear from technical as to what they need to do next to form a resolution and I should expect to hear early next week. Apparently the local Vauxhall dealer which is just up the road has the facilities to do it and is part of the same group so we'll see what happens there. Technical didn't seem very impressed the fact they'd quoted me a price to just refill it when they werent able to check for any leaks in the first place anyway, as well as saying they should've contact technical to find an approved place to take it first. Seems my dealer getting a response from technical mysteriously takes several days. Yet I made one phone call and had a response within half an hour.... I wish RRG wasn't so far away otherwise I'd have taken the car straight there. I did try to call them today to pick Richards brain as I originally bought the car from them, but he was off today.

    Air con dilemma!

To clear it up for anyone, The early gt86's used the r1234yf gas which is the new expensive stuff. Then due to Mercedes refusing to use it there was a whole episode with the courts and that resulting in there being an allowance to use the r134a which was the older gas instead. So some models were then fitted with systems to use the r134a. Unfortunately the gas cannot be changed between systems you have to use what your car has the system for. Though apparently they are now producing them with the new gas systems again. So some of you may be lucky with the cheaper gas! Took mine in this morning, sure enough get a phone call to say they were wrong about what they told me and that it was going to be £400 to regas it. After disregarding what I'd told them yesterday about it having the new gas, I was not best impressed. They tell me they've vacuum tested the system for any leaks and just needs gas. Anyway, I'm currently in discussion with Toyota technical as they're not sure why a car less than 3 year old has lost all of its gas unless there's a leak and aren't sure how the dealer have checked for leaks as according to Toyota technical, the dealer doesn't have the equipment to pressure test it.

    Air con dilemma!

Little bit of looking on the net, hopefully this should stop any fears on an air con regas for us for now! http://europe.autonews.com/article/20130824/ANE/130829947?template=mobile02&X-IgnoreUserAgent=1

    Air con dilemma!

Spoke to my dealer today. It's going in tomorrow. I got told that they'll do a vacuum check on it first and if all ok will just be a regas and they'll even do my pollen filter at the same time for the grand total of.... £80. Or £60 if the pollen filter doesn't need doing. I queried if that was right as I said I'd read things about the cost of the new gas and recharges being more expensive and she just told me looking it up on the Internet was probably the worst thing to do but that what she quoted me is their price. I'll discuss it further with them in the morning just to be sure, but if that's right then it's not too bad!

    Air con dilemma!

Well the core of the rad looks ok, no big stone holes so I'm hoping there's nothing elsewhere or at least if there is it's due to manufacturing issue than damage. I suppose I'll have to wait and see what happens when I get it in with the dealer, something I'm not looking forward to!

    Air con dilemma!

Cheers Nige, I'll see what they say when it goes in Hopefully it's nothing too bad. I've just had a good look at it, can hear the pump engaging when I press the button and there's no signs of any leaks on the pipes, or the rad either so hopefully it's just a regas. Though I'm hoping I can get that done under warranty but I'm not counting on it....

    Air con dilemma!

I can hear a noise inside the car if I turn the switch on, so I'm assuming something is kicking in. Having read some stories I'm hoping they've sorted this so its not a £600 charge to fill it!

    Air con dilemma!

No idea how frequently the previous owner used it, I know I haven't used it that much. However I did use it last week just to take the moisture out of the air as my windows were steaming up a bit and seemed to be fine. Was only when I checked it today it was hot. I hope they have sorted another supplier then, otherwise I'll take it to an air con centre and have it done there. Probably be cheaper!

    Air con dilemma!

Yeah? I didn't realise that tbh. This is the first car I've ever had with air con. Easy fix do you reckon? I'm hoping the dealer will do it under warranty. I'm off to France in 3 weeks, certainly can't be doing with no air con!

I have the same problem with the form, have emailed them to see if they have any suggestions. I thought it was just my phone but it's doing it on my laptop as well. To get everything on that last for RHD version in the link Tareim posted, minus the shifter knob it comes to about £95 plus shipping.

Anyone got the part number for the switch? That website wants a part number to locate it and that's all I'm after. The rest I'm going to do in carbon
