considering my quote was fairly cheap at £375, the difference might be greater for someone whose quote is around the £1k mark

just done a quick moneysupermarket comparison and doing everything exactly the same just changing gt86 with brz and the BRZ is £40 cheaper for me to insure for the year so yeah these crashes with GT86s are not helping with prices

you need to change your job , I work for the NHS and it only cost me around 650 with mods declared, was a lot more when I didn't declare my job was with the NHS but as other have said, it's likely they screwed up with your details in your 1st year

running a narrower front tyre is meant to increase understeer, though I did run the F215/R225 combo and didn't notice an increase, maybe a decrease due to the slight stretch of a 215 on an 8j

it's a shame they're still failing, looking forwards to a positive outcome -
you will need to unbolt it first but other than that no you shouldn't need to completely remove the front pipe

I have had the manifold and overpipe removed without lifting the engine, perhaps it might make things easier if the engine was lifted
