I've looked through laws on plate and couldn't find anything that stated that it had to be on the front of the car, just mounted as vertical as possible and clearly visible which does allow for it to be mounted in the windscreen (just a bit grey area of the law there but most will probably disagree)

it's entirely up to you but you can always keep the proper spec plate in the car and then if they do stop you the 1st time then just see if you can stick the 100% legal plate on before any fine etc.

I had a square plate in my windscreen on my BRZ for 6 months and my daily commute would take me right past the police HQ, seen so many police cars pass me and look directly at my car but never did anything about it so it really does come down to the individual copper and if they can be bothered to stop you about it if you do opt for placing it in the windscreen just make sure all of the characters are visible and not obscured by the wipers or anything else and you might also get away with

it will be a 12x6 plate as that's the US/Import spec size, not technically legal on a uk market car but many people get away with it

if you know you can afford the monthly repayments and are going to keep the car at the end, go mad with the modifications, I modified my whilst on PCP and I even sold it before I had paid it off (used the money from the sale to pay it off) never bother telling the finance company that you are modding it and you'll be fine, the only time modifying the car is going to be an issue is if you have to hand the car back as you cannot afford the repayments/final payment

as you've replaced the manifold does this mean you are fully decatted now or have you put a cat back in the front pipe?

I hid my wires in the headlining & A pillar into the glove box, the only wire you'd see is coming from the camera into the headlining

any reason you can't fit it yourself? they are very simple and straight forwards to put in

Hi Matt, I'm in somerset but no longer an owner, the only garage I could recommend (not through personal experience but via through the grapevine as it were) is Alan Jeffreys in Plymouth, he's a Subaru specialist so I'd imagine he's probably seen at least 1 brz or gt86 by now but is familiar with flat 4 engines

not going to be making it tomorrow now unfortunately will try and make the next one though
