they look horrible

you might want to state what the cat d damage was (if known) as it might put someone off not knowing what the damage was when it could've been something minor
-
are you definitely sure the noise is in the engine bay and is it definitely increasing with rpm or is it actually increasing with your speed? I only ask these questions as I had an issue like that which turned out to be the diff bearing as the oil level was low (previous owner had changed the final drive back before selling and didn't fill it up enough)
-
I drove mine in manual 99% of the time so had more experience of that, I mainly experienced the semi auto mode on the 1st ever test drive as I started driving in D and was worried that moving it into manual on the move would damage it lol so used the paddles to change gear a couple of times and found out that it will eventually go back to auto after a couple seconds of not changing gear
-
if you are in manual mode the car will not change gear at all, you can bounce off the limiter until the engine blows. if you are in D and pull one of the paddles (or use the sequential stick to change gear) it puts it into semi-auto and will hold the gear for a little bit until it decides you're not going to change gear and then changes automatically
-
if you are in D(rive) it will stay showing D unless you manually change gear and it will start showing you the gear you are in until you stop changing gear and it reverts back to auto and shows D again
-
it's definitely a feature on the auto too, I thought it was default to be honest as it was always there on mine (unless you are in drive rather than manual to which it will show D)
-
it's a bit of a hassle to do if it's a daily driver though, doing that every morning before work is not ideal
-
well tbh I don't care for outdated media so don't care for an optical drive, just funny how it's missing but still retains the other buttons
-
has an eject and dvd button but no dvd slot
-
as opposed to out of gear acceleration?

they look interesting, can't wait to see how they look on the car

unless things have changed which I've not seen (have just picked up the parts relevant to this thread below) "Published on 27 March 2013 What’s changed? A raft of new MOT checks were announced in January last year, but not all of them took immediate effect. The ones that didn’t kick in last January are now, as of March 20, in effect. For most cars the additional checks will include: - Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) How can I make sure I pass? If any kind of warning light pops up on your dashboard, you’ll need to get it checked as soon as possible. While in the past you might have just gotten away with it, there’s a chance you’ll now fail your MOT because of it." http://www.moneysupermarket.com/c/news/will-your-car-pass-new-mot-rules/0017255/

doesn't take much to remove the tape covering it lol
-
nope, any dash lights that stay illuminated (that shouldn't such as the TPMS) will fail the mot
-
that wont work come MOT time though...
-
do they have any info on how/why it's quieter with carbon tips? is it just a smaller diameter?

I've also went for one of those and only paid around £110 for it, it barely makes any difference to overall volume if you just replace the stock catback but gets louder once you do other mods such as decat -
more like a couple months

you're always going to have that issue with a white car + black wheels

I have had it quite a bit then again I wasn't being gentle with throwing it sideways
