Purchased several times from them. Slight extra hints - i usually bought several things at a time to save on combined shipment. Also their shipping cost calculator shown absurdly high shipping rates (at least to me, to Latvia). Hence when i found what i want to buy from them, then contacted them via mail ( sales@ft86speedfactory.com ) and asked to make a shipping quote (with coupon FT86CLUB applied) to my address and then to generate invoice.

weren't there beastronix something module, that could disable TPMS?

Nobody can say that oil usage is high, until owned rotary
-
Hearing scare stories about boxers drinking oil checked frequently first year of getting car. Oil level never changed in mine. So i admit, now sinning with almost never checking oil level anymore , only tire pressures. And as for OP question, if my engine can count as example as normal, mine too doesn't seem to using up oil, at least certainly not to extent of needing refill between regular change intervals.
-
Oh. Forgot mis-fitting/mis-mounting asymmetric tyres. Also possible reason.
-
First and quickest/simplest thing to check - if pressure in all tires is ok and even. Drive into any fuel station and check it. After all, often tire shops fitting tires do sloppy job, when pumping up just mounted tires pressure wise. Or one of tires may leak a bit. And while checking pressure, at same occasion get wrench from rear trunk and tighten wheel lugnuts. I doubt for them to cause issues, but why not do that too. In general, different tires shouldn't cause issues you described (except if uneven tire air pressure). About the only possibility for such in my mind comes that primacies before that had that little of grip that you didn't notice handling issues, or something by rare chance coincided in time with tire change. Hitting/bending/moving in joints/bushings/mounts in suspension somewhere. I'd drive to suspension alignment shop and would check/dial alignment. Pulling to one side sounds like uneven toe.

Hmm, what? @UK they can fail MOT even for TPMS light lit? o_O
-
Daninplymouth: hmm, weird, first time hearing that MT may have such. Decided to google on it, and seems that MY2017 kouki may have it.
-
OllyW: thanks for link. At last i see pics of those stalks disassembled. Though still it's a bit hard to make out, if it's possible to move/mount/bend them a bit angled/closer to steering wheel, which is what i'd wish to do in my car (installed steering wheel that is with offset 20cm closer to driver, so would love to angle those stalks more too, to be as close to wheel like to stock's).

Lauren: lowering may mean different count of mods. From smallest possible, just lowering springs, to also coilovers, LCAs and cambolts or camplates to dial back increased from lowering camber for "flushness". (thus eg. impacting NVH and or ride comfort and get something different then expected (if searched/expected mostly stock car)). Of course, there might be pleasant surprise and there to be something better then stock aswell. It's hard to me judge extent of lowering from wheel gap in pic, if it's done by reasonable extent within inch, or dropped too low (and thus possibly worth rising a bit). I'd probably wish some photos of stuff behind wheel spokes on possible suspension parts changed :). And pic with opened bonnet, if there isn't also something modded intake wise and such . I guess, it's harder to find out if ecu is tuned or not, from generic dealership (if it's not private person/old owner, who sells his)

OK, in bigger pics i don't see shifter paddles, (which probably should be there in top trim (from dual zone AC controls/leather & alcantara seats/digital speedo/push button start/foglights)) and pattern on shifter seems like MT one. In this non-mobile version of ad they also explicitly state that it's Manual Transmission. So more then probably hillstart is mislisted. From extra mods noticed there seems something sticking out from front window side pillar .. some cellphone mount maybe or antenna for some electronic device? Pitty no even better center console pic, from buttons on it one could have see if it also has or hasn't heated seats.
-
How can manual have hill start assist then. On MT "hill-start" is done by using handbrake like in driving learning courses :). If pics had been of higher quality, i'd be able to see in more close up pattern on shifter cap and/or absence or existence of gear switching paddles behind steering wheel.
-
chris: sure? Imho looks lowered. Hill start assist in featurelist .. i guess it's AT? Fender garnishes also are changed or painted or wrapped. Hard to get from LQ pics, what's with rear side quarter windows (tinted?).
-
So far door itself never frozed for me. Door windows glasses to rubber seals did though. Not to extent to not able to open door though, but enough to fail auto-lower glass as during normal door opening resulting in door controller misdetecting as something in a way and starting to not work/flashing window operating button (thus needing to reset it later even after thawn off completely, by first fully lowering and keeping button pressed for 2-3sec, then fully rising, keeping switch rised for 2-3sec). Gummipfledge on rubber seals helped for most occasions though.

When it's really cold outside lukewarm water may not just thaw existing snow/ice on glass but rather add extra ice from itself . Chemical deicers .. never saw need to use them. Imho simpler/quicker just scrape off ice from windows with plastic scraper, while car/engine warms up. Better not do that on painted surfaces though, using just brush to brush off snow at most, but never saw any problems/scratches scraping off ice from windows. Snow brush/ice scraper is one of things in my "winter toolset" (+jumpstarting wires, towing rope, small shovel) i put in car when winter starts.
-
Rich: cracking - from quick/uneven thermal shrink/expansion, as in when -20C and if you pour boiliing water on glass. Nothing to do with cracks before in it. Of course, with less extreme temperature differences i might be too cautious, but still prefer to not learn bad habbits in general, instead of thinking when they are safe enough and when - not
-
BTW, suggest to make into habbit to fold windscreen wipers off the glass when parked in winter. When there is snow/ice on car/windows, i just start car, turn fans and temps to max & recirculate, rear window heater (not switching on front screen defogger, which fans over front window cold outside or AC air, for it to not fog, which i guess will make longer for car cabin to warm up), and start to brush snow/scrape ice off it, ending with folding wipers back to glass. No issues with them frozing to windows. I'd be careful with splashing warm or hot water on screen. Though it's more possible in very cold temps, not so much in mild colds, but still, there is chance to crack frozen glass with hot water.

Review- GT86 Club Series Blue Edition with Performance Pack
Church replied to Lauren's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Just as subaru PP pack, this is very good price/performance wise addon/option. Unfortunately not so if buying parts individually if someone wishes to retrofit this kit to other trim level cars later on, as one will never get full price for original parts when parting out from those .. as result it will be 3-4x times more expensive .. and by then, aftermarket offers better priced alternatives to improve suspension & brakes.- 12 replies

What happens when you wash your key fob
Church replied to Captain Duff's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Imho if thieves really will decide on it, no increased safety measures will prevent it. Mine is insured, so i decided against adding/using extra safeguards like those of signal blocker bags for keyless fobs or hidden custom killswitches in car or gps trackers. If it will get stolen i'll get insurance money, but won't have to deal with extra hassles those extra safeguards may bring. It's just as with wheel lock nuts. They probably won't fend of thieves, yet will bring inconvenience. -
What happens when you wash your key fob
Church replied to Captain Duff's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Captain Duff: i'd extend those advises with keeping spare battery out of fob, for it to not get drained. nerdstrike: no, it lights up some key related light on dash, when battery/signal is weak. Too lazy to check for details in manual. Also even with weak battery it was supposed to still start with fob near start button IIRC. -
Recall issued on cars to have valve springs replaced 2012-2013
Church replied to Lauren's topic in Mechanical
Mark@Abbey: i guess you may double your chances if also inquiring @Subaru (in case if PN change and/or disclosed new spring PN will differ from Toyota) -
It will fit far all twins out there. IIRC only thing that one needs to be careful is with axleback fitment on kouki vs zenki (but catbacks should fit all). But i'd check first how much price will be increased with shipping costs and import charges. Shipping overseas something big & heavy is never cheap.

As main goal from me when fitting camera, was to ease parallel parking in very tight spaces without having to leave the car to check distances, even while fensport's kit isn't pointed well to see far back, it does it's job showing from above edge of bumper and distance to bumper of car next in row (or other objects), letting me go "till last cm", so i don't care much about not the right angle. After all, when while driving in reverse i want to see further back, i can use rear view mirror / sidemirrors, or turn head back with hand on passenger seat headest. Camera for me is just to ease judging distance when parking, given very bad rearwards visibility and hard to precisely gauge distance (compared to other cars i drove in past).

knightrider: but there are just very few in whole LV (i've heard - like 20), and it will be divided between 2 toyota & 2 subaru dealerships
