Now that is an awesome picture! Whereabouts did you get to hear the BRM lump in person? Very jealous indeed
-
As Smudge says avoid Miltek! You have loads to choose from at good prices. Blitz, Cobra, GReddy, JDL, Tomei, Invidia etc etc, the list goes on. Set yourself a budget, get on the likes of JapanParts, Tarmac Sportz and Fensport and see what tickles your fancy! Even though a single exit is best for weight savings like the Tomei 60R or Blitz Spec R, most aftermarket dual systems are a lot lighter than stock any way. Here is a pretty good thread: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42555 When it comes to catbacks I would just boot up YouTube and take a listen to the options that are within budget.

Welcome to the club! You'll find with a few subtle mods to both suspension and tyres you can create a proper little track warrior if that is your kind of thing
-
Not a problem, same V12 that was in their F1 cars that powered Sir Jackie Two other engines that are well worth a listen on YouTube if you are into that kind of thing are the 043 Ferrari V12 and the BRM V16/H16 engines, the latter sounds like something straight out of hell!

Apologies I misread it! Hmm my car is booked in at my local dealer and they said that the 20,000 mile service is the cheaper one with the more expensive one being next year?? It was going to be originally around £200 but I haggled them down to £170?
-
Yep sounds about right! My 2nd year service is on Saturday at Toyota Colchester are charging me £170, with the bigger one next year at £299

Keethos' GT86 Journey Back To Health + Mods
JamesP1991 replied to Keethos's topic in Projects & Builds
Definitely the 57Getters buddy! A set of those would contrast the bright liquid yellow beautifully! -
Produced some pretty lovely engines too! The Matra V12 produced the best sounding exhaust note of all time! Especially in the 670! Found a cracking video and now I have it on repeat
-
Be sure to upload some pictures after you have picked it up! Enough money left over for some nice mod additions?
-
Welcome back buddy! Saw a few of your pictures on Instagram during the week. Looked like you had a great time with 3 quite different cars (that Morgan looked lovely). What was the highlight of the trip in your opinion?
-
Welcome to the club mate, I am on 17x8" ET38 wheels and it feels great. On 215 section tyres at the moment as I am waiting to upgrade the boots. I reckon a nice sticky set of 225 section tyres will be perfect for you with N/A.

Competition Time! - Toyota Sports Day 2015 - 20th June
JamesP1991 replied to rob275's topic in News & Updates
Why you should choose me? Because I am the loudest moving object on the road (Faith can vouch for me on that ) EDIT: Just found out I can't go Rob as I am away for the weekend with work so ignore my entry! Good luck to everyone else though -
Ahh well that put that idea out the window then! We have JAE and Japfest 2 this year which are quite big events with a few of us attending, should show your face at those to introduce yourself

Everything on OR sport mode OR traction control off
JamesP1991 replied to trashy's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
When pushing on when going down a B road sport mode is definitely quicker, on the exit of corners, that little bit of rear movement to straighten the car gets stopped immediately with all the aids on and it just slows you down. It is like as soon as the computer senses any type of weight transfer to the rear it is ready to engage. But yes in general, smoothness is always the best way to avoid any interference. The moment you start to violently shift the weight around and stab the throttle that is when things start to turn a bit messy with the car trying to sort itself out. -
Can't say I have ever encountered that problem Mike, may be just get it checked out for reassurance if anything else?
-
It's 0121, on do1 street, can't miss it
-
Gives it a lovely stance then just need to see it in the flesh now

Yeah the Raceseng plste seems like a much better design, if I hadn't had a good experience at Toyota and it carried on leaking I would have got the Raceseng plate and fitted it myself.. Let us know how you get on. In regards to the UEL burble.. If you read my signature you'll see I have the setup you are after! UEL Borla manifold, catless 2.5" straight pipe back to a loud catback.. She screams and sounds like a proper Scooby.. Whereabouts are you based?? I am located In Essex so if you are not far I don't mind taking you for a spin to hear what a UEL catless setup sounds like on these
-
That's okay, my keys literally sit right next to me in my room on my bed side table overnight.. Only way people would get them would be to go through me as well
-
As I said on FB Mark, they make the car look very menacing indeed! 18x9's???
-
Yep sounds fairly normal to me. Do you get a faint oil smell when you are stationary or in traffic? Mine starting leaking around the 14k Mark.. I took it back to Toyota and they resealed it properly for me.. But seeings you have the aftermarket plate with you, you might aswell replace it with that and the leak should disappear
-
I do find it odd how it has only been recently that out cars are being targeted.. I wonder what has triggered it??
-
Welcome to the club fella, you'll be right at home here.. Just to check the oil smell coming from the engine, have you checked the cam plate to see if it's leaking? It was a common problem with our cars and I had the same issue with it leaking oil. If not as Skally says it's just the green goo on the engine

Ahh no hopefully will come through in the next 1-2 days then!
