are you at Snetterton on Sunday Mark?
-
Welcome to the club Any plans for modifications at all? Did you tinker with your type R? Loads of friendly guys on here that are willing to help out, so you should always feel at home! Look forward to seeing you out and about this year, trust me you'll love the transition from FWD to RWD!
-
Funny you should say that Captain, that was one of the first things I looked for on the trip computer, just a readout to say how many miles I had left in the tank before I was empty... As Rob said above the gauge is hardly very accurate!
-
It does seem to be very conservative! I generally don't fill the car right up at the pump and instead prefer to do it on a weekly basis (considering I don't use it much during the week), so when I go to Snetterton on Sunday I will brim it and see how many litres it takes and do a reset on the miles.

Yep sure have Lauren, that's sitting there annoying me every time I drive her! Its because I no longer have any cats in my exhaust system since replacing the manifold with the Borla UEL. Having to wait until I visit Fensport so they can turn the fault code off! Can't come quick enough as I miss my Cruise control
-
On other cars I have had it never seemed to come on so early.. So it was just my thought of the day Luckily I have a shell garage on the way out of my village so I always just top her up with V power there! I've never had the balls to play chicken with the gauge though, I know a few people out there who let it sit right at the bottom before even thinking about filling up.. That would really drive me mad!
-
Just make sure they don't impact your view too much you miss every apex

Looks I like I will be coming along to Snetterton for the 1st round of the TSS after all given my karting enduro no longer clashes Unfortunately it will be just as a spectator, but anyone who wanted to hear what my exhaust solution sounds like now, Sunday will be your chance. I will also be picking up the ACT Clutch and Flywheel kit from Nige so It can sit on my shelf at home and tease me for the next month until I go to Fensport! I was also looking at a couple of other bits today. I reckon I will also be getting the whiteline positive shift kit, a Blitz oil filter to add some bling to the engine bay and a Summit front strut brace whilst I am at Fensport! My bank balance is going to cry after May!
-
To be honest I almost cry every time I see a new stone chip on my bonnet or roof! Dirt can at least be rubbed off
-
Be interesting to see what they say!
-
Going to be a nice leaning curve come Sunday for you Mike
-
I second that! How about an N24 drivers club roadtrip over there next year? Some say it is even better to spectate than the 24 hours of Le Mans. Both are on my bucket list.
-
Anyone fancy doing the 2016 Nurburgring 24 hours in one?? We could all chip in and create a GT86 drivers club team!

Telegraph Top 10 £30k coupes
JamesP1991 replied to Captain Duff's topic in Non GT86/BRZ General Chat
How the hell is a Leon SC considered a coupe too when it is a hatchback?! Looks like a typical click bait traffic generator article to be honest. No knowledge or thought has been used in the making of that article. Like a 5 year old has written it. -
Seen good things from the Eagle F1's regarding road use, originally wanted conti's but worried over tyre life.. decisions decisions! Won't be changing until July so have plenty of time to decide!
-
Welcome to the forum! TRD certainly looks good in red
-
Can't believe they released it upside down! Madness!

Toyota's New Sports Car Will Sit Above GT86
JamesP1991 replied to Captain Duff's topic in Non GT86/BRZ General Chat
Hopefully the Supra name will be revived! The only gripe I would have with it, is if it is a hybrid. I don't want it turning out like the BMW I8 In it's layout. Although knowing BMW they will try and push it that way. -
I would really appreciate that Nigel! As I can imagine postage will be around another £15-£20?? If for whatever reason he can't take it back to the workshop ready to fit on the car in May though, just let me know and I will pay for the cost of the postage to send it to me
-
Thank you buddy, I am trying my best to document as much as possible Don't worry, I will be doing a full run down on here on the 8th when I get home regarding how the day went. I'll go into how I feel where the map has improved the car and how much it makes a difference on the road. It is going to be like night and day I predict in terms of performance so I am so excited! Not that, that will help you run down the time quicker before you go and visit them!

Just a quick update from today! Hopefully all being well I should be purchasing Nigel's ACT clutch and flywheel kit at the start of April. There was a problem RE fitting it however before Japfest. So I spoke with Dan at Fensport today and the closest date the workshop is free is the 8th May. Thankfully they can squeeze me in for the morning to fit both the clutch and flywheel kit and then take me out in the afternoon to get the car mapped properly! So whilst i have had to delay my appointment by a week from the 29th I should have everything fitted and finished just in time for Japfest the following weekend! I'd call that a result, very happy
-
Good to hear Lee, with all the track work you do the last thing you'd want is an overly loud car which would make it difficult to pass the noise tests!
-
Just can't catch a break eh?! At least it gives you more time to invest in some more modifications though
-
Happy for you that everything went smoothly for you mate, it had potential to be a massive headache for you!
-
Sounds like the best solution would be to go back to milltek seeing as they would honour a replacement free of charge. I know you would have labour costs and fuel but at least you can attend and sort everything out in 1 day. As soon as you start getting couriers involved and what not it can be a bit of a long winded process! I would imagine it only takes an hours labour to fit an exhaust so the cost of labour should not be too steep for you! What are your thoughts on it though?
