Nimz is right they are Rays 57 Getters, in 9.5j by the looks of it.

mattt you might find that over time you will drop a few more mm as they springs settle and age, but you are right its doesn't look that much different. Then again it also depends on how flat the road is its parked on and your wheel tyre combo. Mine can look stock on uneven ground.

How the hell? That's pretty impressive. Are the caliper bolts loose? I can't see how it's got out.

Looking on some advise on what stereo to fit in my brz

Price range? Aftermarket or OEM? Features you want? Have you run a search on the forum? Self fit or pro install? Putting up a photo of your car is lovely but it's not exactly any help, put a bit of effort into your thread and it will help people help you. -
If you go looking for reliability problems you will find them. Like you would anything else you search for. You will find issues with any car. In a nutshell the car is reliable and is no different to any other. All your major concerns are rare occurrences. Dig deeper and you will have a better understanding. If you don't buy one based on this, shame, will be your loss really as there isn't much to be concerned about.

I saw one of these on the road last week. Definitely looks more high end than you would expect from a Hyundai but my god it sounded completely awful. Cross between a tractor and a leaky exhaust.
-
Hmmm I wouldn't be so sure. You can sound deaden and seal the doors in a day. Makes a huge difference and it's not very costly nor heavy. Fortunately you just have to sneeze and the 86 interior comes apart.

It will be a V6 F Type for me. No rush though I enjoy cheap motoring with the 86 for now and it is definitely alot of fun even after 3 years of ownership. It has it's flaws but it really is a good car.

I think your best bet is to find somewhere to try seats yourself. I have found previously bucket seats vary quite alot In terms of ergonomics, let's face people come in all shapes and sizes. Then you gotta decide fixed or reclining.

Replace. You will get some slop in the pedal if you remove it apparently. I plan to change mine to an MTECH spring.

For a 17, 18 year old to get an insurance premium below £2000 on anything is quite an achievement. Ridiculous as it is it is the norm and not by choice. So to get a quote on such a car for that age is very good. My first premium was £1250 On a car with the same value (1200cc 45bhp Corsa) that was over 11 years ago. I don't envy those first looking to drive nowadays it's certainly more expensive.

There is no legal obligation to offer warranty on a used car despite what many people think.
-
Welcome Luke, sorry to hear of your troubles! Your cheapest option is to fit a 2nd hand engine. Rebuilding the FA20 isnt the cheapest or simplest of tasks, however if you have it rebuilt you are bound to get a degree of warranty and knowledge that you shouldn't have any further problems, something which isn't 100% guaranteed with a 2nd hand engine

To get a premium for under 2k as a 18 year old is bloody good really. Enjoy the car!

Q300, Greddy SP Elite and the Perrin 2.5" resonated are some of quietest you can get for this chassis.

Lets hope its better than their supercharger kit...

Different dampers Church. This only seems to be an issue on stock dampers. Its good practice not to use that method anyway. When a damper rod has a hex/torx socket recess or flats built into the end of it, its usually there for a reason. You can tighten the top hat nut sufficiently with a ring spanner. Not to mention to the correct torque setting, no need to an impact gun, its not like your trying to whack off crank pulley bolts etc.
-
Its not the springs themselves its when they are installed where the damage is caused. Its caught a few people out, if you impact gun the top nut or spin the damper spindle/rod when removing it, it trashes the seals and causes the dampers to leak.

As above pop down to Screwfix, they will have a few choices for you to pick from.

I don't think so. Smudge had a set on his car and they looked good. http://www.gt86.org.uk/forums/topic/3781-18x95-jr11-alloy-wheels/

Its his car Church. The question was do they fit. Why do you feel the need to challenge everyone who doesn't necessarily do it the way you want?
-
They will fit but that's quite alot of poke up front, you'll need to run some stretch on the tyres and have a bit of camber for them to tuck.

Yeah i have. The loom is pretty much identical all you have to do is jump a single pin to power up the amplifier.
