£20 Or £30? blimey something on this car which is actually reasonably priced. I might have to try one. I prefer a lighter knob over a heavier one.

Toyota GT86 Grimmspeed License Plate Relocation Kit
Varelco replied to cropzy's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Depends on how obvious it is and a bit of luck. I ran no front plate on my 200SX for 18months and never got tugged for it I wedged my plate on the dash of my golf and got pulled within 4 days. -
You get what you pay for. I have had japspeed arms before on my old car and didn't rate the quality. I have the ones Church suggested. They do the trick for even cheaper without compromising on quality (you just don't get any fancy colours/designs and no ball joint to worry about)

Best detailing products from peoples experience?
Varelco replied to cropzy's topic in Cleaning & Detailing
90% of that you don't need mate. What are you looking to do? Polish? Hand or machine? What have you got apart from the was? -
Seen at Geneva yesterday. Toyota C-HR
Varelco replied to Squadrone Rosso's topic in Non GT86/BRZ General Chat
Sensible replacements! Both great cars. I really like the C-HR, both my younger brothers (25 and 23) who aren't car people always pick up on the C-HR when they see one. Definitely looks good, i might see if i can persaude the girlfriend to get one... -
I don't tend to drive on gravel so it's ok. Bonnet and front bumper is a totally different story...

You could spend £0 and not fit any. It's a sports car not a Land Rover
-
Fit as in the wheel and tyre combo on the car or tyre on the wheel? Either way the answer is yes you're all good.
-
Whats the spec of those wheels? I like them
-
Soak it in WD40. If you have any sticker residue whether its on the car/in the house use this No need for hot water or special chemicals.
-
I do like these ICE builds, its giving me plenty of good info when it comes to sorting out my car

The gearing is far from ideal too not to mention having to go without reverse or adding an electric reverse motor/gear.

Looks good Ade! now the weather has improved I will be doing similar. What material did you use to seal the doors? looks like some sort of corrugated plastic? Also are your front door speakers full range or have you set up filters?
-
I just looked too, thats rubbish! I wonder when they stopped doing that...

Welcome inferno, I was in a similar position a couple years back. I will go against what has been said and say buy new. I bought new at the time as it made more sense than buying something which was 1-2 years old. First off I used a car broker, drive the deal to be precise, with Toyotas £1k deposit contribution using their PCP deal I saved £5.5k on the spec I wanted, so straight away i was looking at a brand new 86 for £22k, putting it in second hand price terroritory, next comes the other perks of having new, there wasn't 10k-25k miles worth of wear and tear (tyres, brakes etc), I had the full 5 years of warranty, the car was taxed. No Brainer for me.

I'm pretty certain that my 20mm Eibach bolt ons don't protrude out, the 15mm definitely do though.

I got a grimmspeed intake to fit on my Car, can't wait Already have a cosworth panel filter and silicone hose but I want the noise and aesthetics. Makes me laugh, people will pay 3 to 4 times as much for a cat back exhaust for the same performance gains but no one whinges about that.

@jevvy Needed to get that one off your chest mate?

I wish my sounded like that. My mates call my Winston Wolf all the time, drives me mad

Frustrating but reassuring at the same time. You have got to cover those grey areas unfortunately and minimise the loopholes/excuses. People will always complain and nit pick around this, yeah some of it does seem ridiculous but you got to see what its trying to achieve and how it could ultimately protect you and your loved ones. I've been rear ended twice in 18 months by morons on their phone, both of them young drivers, its about time things were cranked up on this. I've seen those traffic cop programs where some poor girl had both her legs shattered in an accident where the other driver was on their phone (and walked away unscathed). I've seen people with ipads in their laps, someone taking selfies... Its ridiculous.

Its quite a bit more expensive though isnt it? The RF in comparison to the standard soft top. I really like the ND MX5, never test drove one but have sat in one, the simple single handed opening soft top is really trick, I see no need for the RF unless you like the looks and a bit more refinement with the roof up. For me it would be the only realistic option to replace my 86 with should i want to get rid.

The problem is whilst the size of the characters is fine the spacing isn't. The gap between the top and bottom row needs to be 19mm for it to be legal. You can't fit the correct sized characters and spacing on a 7" plate. A 12x6 has small characters altogether (64mm vs 79mm). I still want one though lol...
-
Looks good Paul The 13x7 is a bit more inconspicuous than a 12x6 in terms of being illegal. Although ultimately they are both illegal but i doubt a copper would notice.

Tell us more... details on what's been altered? Who did it? Isn't your exhaust like a pulse jet as it is lol.
