You missed a bit! Welcome to the club, best colour too.

I like the idea of this. Getting more and more convinced to get my car mapped. I've read somewhere that ignition timing has more of an effect than altering how much fuel it being delivered. That would help with fuel consumption and cat life.
-
Kill joy. Paul tell us more... ignition retarded on overrun? Was this something you asked for.
-
1RON difference isn't going to be an issue.

I'm pretty sure one went for £25 on here or the other forum. Unfortunately like its been said, they aren't worth alot, well on GT86 forums anyway...
-
It sits nicely down by that starter button, personally I think I'd mount it there. I wouldnt want it somewhere too obvious as it may tempt thieves (looks quite phone/nav like)
-
Its swings and roundabouts on internet forums. I used Lauren's method of running in my engine and mine uses oil (not enough to be considered unusual mind you). I don't think there is much right and wrong just personal preference.
-
LOL you would wait until March for a different number on your registration? madness.
-
Lauren I see you put dynamat in the boot, did you do anywhere else? Make much difference?

At least you know it will live on! It's a nice feeling, no doubt after all that time and miles you are sentimental about it. I have a mark 4 golf with 203k miles. It's scabby and a bit worn but I love it. Oh and I know what the wait is like (just under 6 months for me) it's worth it 😊

I agree, good audio is difficult in these cars as they are built like tin cans, I have the JBL system and the sub used to rattle a bit, tightening up the screws and sticking on some sound deadening got rid of that. The door cards are by far the worst, anything above 80Hz and they rattle like crazy. Deadening and sealing the doors will do wonders, i plan to do this soon and add a crossover to the door speakers, they struggle covering full range.

Think this thread is pretty self explanatory really. Hot oil = oil cooler. A cooler thermostat is pointless. The Subaru Forester XT oil cooler which Church is trying to refer to is an OEM subaru part which connects to the coolant system. It sits under your oil filter and uses engine coolant to heat/cool the oil. It's compact and self contained, no oil lines or air heat exchanger.

I dont think the car will sound any different as you still have a manifold.
-
What's the advantage of this on a boxer engine? I mean I notice it still runs an intake manifold. The FA20 seems well designed I can't see the inlet system being very restrictive.
-
It is turbo you can see the compressor housing in the photo.

*cough* Eibach/SPC arms *cough*

Looks like you are right! Not so worthwhile after all...
-
Oh ok I thought there may be a source of statistics. In that case I can't see how that is going to have an effect. The forums represent a small portion of car owners, so if several members trash their cars I doubt its going to make a visible impact on premiums.

Where are you guys getting this information from?

You're best off keeping an eye out on the for sale section on the forums, thats the best place to snap one up. In fact I have a red Zeta Performance silicone intake hose up for sale soon... Google led me to this: http://www.hobd2.com/wholesale/new-tactrix-openport-2-0-ecuflash.html?gclid=Cj0KEQiAhs3DBRDmu-rVkuif0N8BEiQAWuUJr0Ve-7yG9Py8zk8lFY36pRZJZDWXmXO3yGnL-4caU-gaAp9c8P8HAQ

Yeah I saw that too, the first generation arms were an awful design, I'm not surprised. These second generation items are alot sturdier, they look identical to the stock arms.
-
Yeah they are the box they come is in branded SPC.
