Yeah it clashes with the supercar siege at brands (which is the one I'll be going to)

I see no reason as to why you would pick an LS over a 1UZ, it will just end up costing you a fortune for no viable reason. 1UZs are reliable and can take big power on stock internals, not sure what else you would want. Dimensional the 1UZ is better suited to a twin too.

If I read correctly Dan is using a shorter final drive so that will make a difference to in gear speed

Oh there goes more money out my bank account... I hate the 3rd brake light in this car, complete eyesore. Not to mention it doesn't look great against LED brake lights. How easy is it to recover the parcel shelf? Anyone know where to source material which will match the stock fitted carpet?

Not true, you can tint the front windows, here is the extract off the gov website Vehicle was first used on or after 1 April 1985 The front windscreen MUST allow a minimum of 75% light through and the front passenger windows; front side windows MUST allow a minimum of 70% light through. Vehicle was first used before 1 April 1985 Both the front windscreen and front side windows MUST allow a minimum of 70% light through.

What size and offset did you go for Rich?

They look lovely. Admittedly I think bronze can look pretty flat, but even from those pictures you can tell they got a nice bit of depth to them, I'd imagine they look better in the flesh. Good choice.

I love the NA aspect of my car, even after driving a supercharged one. I don't think its hugely difficult to make it a quick(er) and a more enjoyable car in NA form if you don't concentrate on chasing the peak figures of a FI engine and look at some of the other aspects of it. For example stick on the typical bolt on mods (full exhaust, intake etc) have a remap for more engine power and to ditch that poxy torque dip, attempt to shed a bit of weight (probably not that feasible but its usually overlooked) and stick in a shorter final drive and think it would be a winner.

What offset did you go for Nicebiscuit? These are on my shortlist (in Hi power silver)

Your stretch is modest, that copper needs his eyes checked. I've run 225/40 on a 9.5j for years on 2 different cars, no issues whatsoever with Police or at MOT time. I'm pretty sure somewhere I've read that one of Falkens 225/40 profiled tyres are within spec on a 9.5j rim... Makes me laugh as I've seen new BMWs and Lexus' running stretched rubber from the factory.

Brand New Ohlins SUSMP20 Coilover kit for sale I bought these less than a week ago from another forum member, I kind of jumped into the decision without thinking about it as it was such a good deal. So here’s an opportunity for somebody else to enjoy them. These are brand new and unused, I’ve only taken them out of the box to have a look and take measurements, also included are a pair of brand new OEM drop links. £1250 posted ***SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD*** (these can be collected for a cheaper price, PM me if interested, I’m located in Sittingbourne, Kent. Please note these are also advertised elsewhere )

I've only read issues with the Cobra HFC, not the Berk.

You could always get a catted front pipe and use it was a catless manifold. It will be quieter than ditching both cats and can get you through an MOT. I have a Berk HFC front pipe for sale... ***shameless plug***

I have the JBL sound system upgrade in my car, it's alright but nothing special, the bass and lows are good enough but the rest of it is mediocre. My advice as someone which has it, is to install an aftermarket system if you're willing to self fit it. Fortunately for me I had the JBL system installed FOC as good will gesture from Toyota because of late delivery of my car. It's also worth noting its unfair to compare £1100 worth of ICE to the JBL factory option as Toyota don't exactly hand you over a box of components for you to install

You haven't told us what catback you are running as this will have an influential factor (An Invidia Q300 will be a lot quieter than a Tomei 60S for example) How many resonators do you have in the current set up? Whenever I've seen a video with a catless manifold and front pipe its been LOUD.

I was fortunate enough to drive Abbeys Harrop GT86 on Friday. I have to say I share similar thoughts, without doubt a great kit, the power delivery is smooth and progressive, very much like the stock engine just with more power, you don't get a huge surge of torque low down which could quite easily upset the car (which I liked), it does certainly shift above 5k. Whilst it is useable power, for me its too much to use on the road, I had to constantly keep an eye on the speedo and be ready on the brakes, with my NA I can really wind it up and not have to be as concerned, it didn't add much to the overall driving experience for me, the only thing It did highlight was how irritating the torque dip is on the stock engine. However, if I was to change my mind (i'd never rule it off) I'd go with the Harrop with little hesitation, despite that attractive price tag of the HKS V2 the Harrop is very well suited to this car.. Can I just say big kudos to the guys at Abbey, its real nice to see a company offer customers the opportunity to test drive their car and try the product, I can't imagine many others doing that!

@ALB453 I think you need one of those bootlids! Would really suit your car with all those carbon goodies on it

I was disappointed when I found out it wasn't going to be held at Leeds Castle again, but that changed when I found out it was at Brands. Me and the girlfriend might come over.

Hi Matt I've just replied to you over on the other forum. Thanks, Matt

No the furthest 2 holes are left exposed. I spoke to a friend of a friend who said it can be fibreglassed so the spoiler extends out to cover the 2 holes if I didn't want the bootlid messed with.

Ok mate no problem. Just so you are aware I have 2 other people who are very interested in these.
