Lauren 167 at the wheels 201 at the fly?
-
@Church good point on fuel tank level. I'll pay a bit mor attwntion and seee if it changes with regards to that. @Rob, he doesn't sound very happy mate I think I might have to get Toyota to get him out. I've checked the usually suspects at the rear of the car and nothing appears loose, the noise is extremely repetitive though (volume and frequency) so don't think it's something loose.
-
Yeah sure it won't be completely optimised on the higher octane fuel but it can't be that far off, the ECU is adaptive to some degree. It's just whether that 500+ quid remap is worth the effort (remap, license, dyno time)
-
It does this anyway. If the ECU didn't automatically compensate for the better fuel why do we all run high octane fuel?
-
On a stock car it's pretty pointless. If you have a well designed exhaust system , inlet mods etc then it becomes a different story. You won't always see huge peak gains but it's what can be done across the whole rev range which makes it beneficial.

Yeah Subaru factory lol.

Interesting I might try some, although It will be hard pressed to beat Sonax BSD. That stuff is incredible and seems to last for ages.
-
That's some serious gloss Fenhopper. What did you use?

Subaru couldn't get anywhere near what I paid for a GT86. Not mention I prefer the styling of the front bumper. The BRZ has that ugly black bulge across the front of it.

For Sale: Eibach Pro Hubcentric bolt on spacers One pair of 20mm (Eibach system 4/8) One pair of 25mm (Eibach system 4/8) Bought from another member but never fitted to my car as I’m going down the aftermarket wheel route. In excellent condition, very little use. This combination is the perfect size for getting the stock wheels to sit flush in the arches. Cost £250 new, Im after £SOLD for the set Thanks, Matt

The gearbox is already close as it is. Not sure why you would want it even closer? Changing the FD would definitely be on my list if it wasn't for the fact I do so many motorway miles. Coupled with an aftermarket exhaust it would become irritating having a higher cruising RPM not to mention it would adversely affect my MPG.

Bump still available. There is always the option to have a body shop modify the spoiler to cover the furthest 2 holes I was quoted 40 quid

If your coilovers are harsh for UK roads they won't sell. Alot of US owners are primarily interested in aesthetics rather than outright performance and compliance. The modifying scene for this car in particular seems to be quite a lot different in comparison.

If you didn't say about the audi rings I'd ask if it was a Honda NSX

Chillismokes 86 Detailed & Sealed (Gtechnic)
Varelco replied to rob275's topic in Cleaning & Detailing
No it's definitely not tacky. I personally don't find it very durable but it's mainly the fact it's messy which bothers me, it gets everywhere unless you are really close up but then you end up using lots of product. -

I'm completed intrigued by Gtechniqs offerings, seems like quite a buzz around this stuff. So is C1 the equivalent of a wax? Then EXO is used as a LSP? What's their T1 tyre dressing like? I've always used Autoglym tyre dressing and I don't know why as it's pants and messy to apply. -
The update has caused aggro for me. I can only reply on my mobile. On my desktop I can't reply to topics, very frustrating. I click on the text box but it won't allow me to type. Anyone else have this issue? I've tried IE and Firefox and both the same.

I remember reading somewhere that Toyota were looking for a 3 sports car line up with the GT86 being in the middle, so this makes sense (the FT-1 'Supra' being the top dog). My guess is like Lauren said in that its based on the new MX5 chassis, the Fiat 124 Spider looks to share this too. Love the fact that Toyota are basing these new cars on their classics, however I dont rate this one, the lines dont flow very well, its pretty ugly.

You are correct you aren't, but you are covered by the Consumer Protection Act as The Speedline import goods for sale into the EU. Your points on 'grey goods' and not honouring warranty are assumptions on a company you've not dealt with, not valid evidence. Granted they won't necessarily offer the customer service expected from a UK vendor but you can't rule them out.

How have you come to that conclusion Rob? What makes this seller any different to all the other third party vendors selling Valenti products? Mine are genuine items for what it's worth. FYI Valenti problems are due to dry solder joints which usually results in a loss of LEDs. This was apparently rectified in later batches of the lights. It's also worth noting there are revised versions with improved water resistance which are classed are 3.0V (not to be confused with their latest prototype lights). The ones I supplied have this printed on them.
-
They were good. Put it this way they valued the lights less than what I paid for so that meant I didn't get stung as much on customs. EDIT: They even openly admitted in the order confirmation email that they value the products less to avoid higher custom charges.
-
Yeap, I've ordered from The Speedline before. I bought my set of Valentis from them. No issues at all, even got a free pen with my order lol. They aren't American that's for sure, my packaging was from Taiwan I think.
