Cheers Canary, it was pretty straightforward. I just took it in, explained the issue and they said they'd keep the car for a few hours to test it against an 86 that they had in their stock. They gave me a courtesy car in the meantime. Strangely enough their feedback was that the shift was identical to the other car (well, duh of course it would be if it's a model-wide issue) but they carried out the work anyway as they have a company wide bulletin that has identified the issue. I doubt you'll have any problems as all they need to do is look it up on their system and see the bulletin. *edit* After the work the shifting in general is much smoother but the downshift into second is still not amazing, I used to be blocked out of the gear completely without properly forcing it, so haven't been back since as i can live with it now.

Much appreciated biscuit

Most definitely not! I think if you buy it half-hearted and cheap you always end up replacing it/regretting it anyway! Trust me I've been there with previous cars... Thanks a lot.

Hi all, My name's Ajay. I'm 21, from Sussex and own a 2013 GT86 TRD Edition. I'm definately up for attending meets/car shows and what not! Just putting my name out there. I'm a keen modder and am slowly adding extra genuine TRD parts and HKS mods to my car, with the goal of going forced induction via Fensport as soon as insurance costs allow! I am planning to have a N/A ECUTEK remap in the near future. Current Mods/Additions on top of the TRD spec: HKS Super Hybrid Air Filter, TRD Front Upper Strut Brace, TRD Shark Fin Aerial, TRD Oil Filler Cap, TRD Push-Start Button, OEM Leather Armrest, Minor Interior LED Lighting Changes. Parts on the way from Japan: TOM's Red Tail Lights. Here she is! Regards.

As above, looking for either the HKS Hipermax coilovers or the yellow TRD ones to compliment my build. New or used. Make me an offer if you have either! Best, Ajay

I'm up for this, will be good to meet you guys. I'm on call that day until 14:15, so as long as work don't want me i'll be around after then!

How's your fuel economy been since getting the Cossy installed? When you haven't been planting your foot and enjoying the power it has to offer that is
-
Would also be curious to see reviews on the TRD sportivo suspension set if anyone happens to have that...
-
Hey guys, Considering getting uprated TRD engine/gearbox/diff mounts in preparation for going forced induction, does anyone have these installed already and can comment on how bad the engine vibrations are in the car, and also whether engine response is improved? Yours, A.

Doesn't "Scion" directly translate to poverty spec?

2nd gen revo valentis: Here http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AINpzsL2C38 And here http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Yi9HVDVunFk Buddy club for me is a bit "mini aventador-ish" but they do suit certain car colours and body kits well. I'm a bit of an OEM+ guy which is why i went for the tom's, but the revo's have caught my eye!

Here you go James, about £205-210 depending on the £-¥ exchange rate on the day. Obviously factor in postage and customs 20% vat when they arrive. Still cheaper than UK vendors though.https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/43297 OH MY just had a look at those 2nd gen valenti's, seriously considering ditching the TOM's when they come out!!!
-
Glad to hear! Thinking of combining them with the red version of the lower valenti light, but without that "V" lighting up at all, too much bling for me!
-
Hi all! Thanks for the lovely messages, hopefully I'll meet some of you on a drive soon!
-
Hi James! Thank you very much, I used to own a Celica 7th gen (140bhp) and paid £800 for that. Somehow I still pay £800 annually for my GT86 with hastings direct, despite the 60hp upgrade! Insurance charges go way above my head, doesn't seem logical.
