Good luck. If you're having reverse sensors, check the paint on them. Ours isn't good & the centre bits aren't centred:(

I think it's called Starlight Blue but is still referred to as GT86 Blue in the brochures. It looks absolutely stunning & the seat leather upgrade was well worth it.

One very happy lady. From this:- To this:- Cheers, Simon

Wednesday at 09:00 for collection. Fingers crossed!

The Busso in our old GT was always pretty economical. The V6 in my Brera isn't. If you're a petrol head though, who cares or worries? -
Oh well, car at the dealer but bubble burst again!! Toyota apparently founded LEAN manufacturing so how come they allow a car to be built in Japan, have some options fitted at Portbury Docks in the UK (leather seats, sound system & alarm) and then finally, let the dealers fit the reversing sensors & central armrest lid? Seems very fragmented with way too many variables. Given I'm used to Alfas & Fiats, Italy is making Japan look organised in the car making business! Who would have thought that.

Another Alfa deserter....lol My wife's Alfa V6 GT went to its new owner last week. She currently has a Black 86 Aero on loan while Toyota get their act together with hers. Hopefully, this is the week. Shame the 86 doesn't sound like the Alfa but other than that, I doubt we'll miss it. -
It's been a great car but even with the Q2 retrofit, the 86 runs rings around it. If only it sounded a bit better (and had a bit more low down urge).
-
Toyota & the dealer have confirmed that they'll cover the costs of the first three services which is excellent The car itself is due with them early next week so getting rather excited just now....... My wife's V6 GT went to the new owner today too. Sad but happy.
-
We don't do many miles. Maximum 8k per year but probably 6k. So, 12 months or 10k but what do they cost?
-
We had 9 laps of Stowe split over two sessions. Great fun. I even overtook an Aston N430.

Good news today. Car required no paint just PDR. Hopefully here this week. Loving the Batmobile mind you. It's going to be hard running the new one in after driving this one. Toyota GB have offered us £200 for the hassle relating to missing parts & the ever changing delivery dates. I think free servicing for the duration of the PCP (3 years) is more appropriate. Thoughts on this? Cheers, Simon

When I asked, was told they were very limited & all went years ago. Got ours off eBay:)

On available now:- http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=121714599448&globalID=EBAY-GB

We're here now. 15:30 session. Seen this whizzing around the track.

The loaner:- Keyless entry is bonkers & there a flashing picture of a car unlocked in the rev counter all the time??
-
No such thing as only a car...lol It does need to be perfect on delivery. Fingers crossed then.

Ours has been dented on the door at Portbury That's why it's being delayed. Described as a small dent that will be rectified before being sent out to the dealer. We obviously won't accept it unless it's perfect. Dealer have been superb. We now have a Black Aero demo to keep until ours is ready. Very happy with how they are dealing with it. Less happy with Toyota & it seems that my Portbury fears were well founded.
-
Well, what a shower Toyota are turning out to be Car is delayed again due to problem they won't disclose so that's very worrying. I was expecting efficiency from a Japanese company, especially with a £29k+ car but they're just stringing us along. Not at all happy just now!

My wife set up the drive away Toyota insurance today. Needed by the dealer to register / tax it. They tried to sell her the full product but it's twice as much as our existing Chris Knott policy! Likewise. Return to invoice price GAP. £151 with CKI, almost £400 through the dealer:(

Best Way To Run In New GT86...
Squadrone Rosso replied to James Hilton's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Pistonheads have a red primo on their fleet as of today. The man from Toyota GB has advised that no running in is necessary. What does the manual say? -
Update. Could be at the dealers for Thursday so fingers crossed we could take delivery on Friday! We've been in France this week but I twittered (very new to that) Toyota GB about their new car parts supply issue. Instant response offering to look in to it but not sure I want to drop the dealer in anything......
-
Nope. Our plate is on retention but the dealer has the certificate. It's all done online so in instantly registered in a couple of minutes.

He drives an Audi mind you
