It's being updated tomorrow. The service lady said the new parts have arrived (see below). This could be the memory stick I guess? Not got to the bottom of having six updates for free but tomorrow is FOC regardless:)

The Prius is very distinctive & futuristic. Not a car for me. The C-HR is stunning. -

Unexpected things you Disike about the GT86
Squadrone Rosso replied to remal's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Agreed but these hardly get warm at all & even then, I'm convinced it's my body heat, not the warmers. -

Yes, forward. Could it be the leather? The car was delayed because of seat pad unavailability so I hope it's not been bodged -

Just coming back to this. I used the 86 today for a 140 mile trip. The car was a block of ice when I set off. The seat heaters take an absolute age to get minimal heat. I've then, I'm convinced it's my body heat that's warmed the leather. Reckon they're FUBAR? Cheers, Simon -

Cheers for the replies. I think I'd source a used one & get it done. I understand that it's only held on by one screw? Another thing that's bugging me is the fit of the soft touch plastic dash around the central vents. Any ideas about this? -
Anyone seen this:- It leads into a series of post crash repairs. His 86 is pretty modded & he seems to love it. Worth a watch IMO. Cheers, Simon

Just to update this, we bought the car new with Touch & Go +. I knew I'd read it somewhere that if you have plus, you get 6 map updates over 3 years for free, via the dealer. I looked into this on Friday as my dealer said it was chargeable. The My Toyota Portal confirms the car had T & G + and Nathan at Toyota confirmed what is on their FAQs (q7) is correct. Spoke to the dealer who said this isn't the case but they'd do the update for free as goodwill. I've given them all the details & they said they'd look into it. I don't want to get shafted & I don't want the dealer to take the hit either. Will keep you posted.

Been hard at it today The little Panda Cross is a brilliant car too It'll soon be Spider weather, fingers crossed! Cheers, Simon

No fault found. Guess I need to drive it more (but I swear they feel sharper post visit)

Had our first weekend away in the 86. Drove to Chester from South Wales through Wales so great fun. Comfortable & economical too. Not driven the car much (it's my wife's) the the brake pedal free travel before the bite seems very long. The brakes work well enough with a shove. I hate over servoed brakes but the initial pedal travel is concerning & not how I remember. You may remember that ours had the brake ABS pump & module was replaced shorty after buying the car new. I assume this involved interfering with the brake hydraulic fluid so could a bleed be in order? Thanks, Simon

Car is in today. Fingers crossed!

Our 86 is at the dealer today so I've asked them to get me some. They said if their body shop has some, I can have it gratis

Lapis Blue Pearl is the Scooby colour.

Yep. Big fan of these but it says it's a Subaru colour.....

Quick question. Is GT Starlight Blue on the late 2015 cars K3X? Need touch up paint but struggling to find some Ta, Simon
-
No idea, sorry. I'm in Swansea
-
Thanks. That's about 60 miles. Car booked in on Friday. Hopefully just needs a good bleed.

Anyone in South Wales?
-
I'm used to Italian brakes so not over servoed at all. What struck me with the 86 was just how firm & responsive the pedal was yet still being easy to modulate. Pretty much perfect. I think it needs a quick dealer visit just to be safe.

Unexpected things you like about the GT86
Squadrone Rosso replied to Nicebiscuit's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Long distance comfort. Very good if not excellent -
Hi. I have tried a search but couldn't find anything. Is this a common issue on the 86/BRZ? Now the temperature has dropped a little, coupled with the damp weather, all the interior glass is steamed up. Not running condensation & it clears in a few minutes of running the rear screen heater & front max setting. Car appears otherwise dry. No coolant usage, wet carpets or anything. Our other car is unaffected (Fiat Panda Cross). Any thoughts appreciated Cheers, Simon
