We always leave the AC Climate Control. Never turn it off. Never in the recirc mode either.

How difficult it is to use the pull cord to access the rear seats. I think ours is FUBAR -

Heated seats. They take way too long to warm up properly, even on the high setting -
Where does the aerial go? In the front screen?

Just checked Toyota's own site. The price for their DAB module is only £229 fitted. Might try to get this fitted to my wife's 86 Supports DAB, DAB+ & DMB
-
The system has a greyed out menu for DAB & I understood it that the official add on module made this live??

The latest Cayman is brilliant. I drove the base car with PDK about 300 miles through Germany & France. Very efficient & bloody quick. Makes a great sound too & can take plenty of luggage. I don't think it has the fun factor of the 86 though.

I've searched but can't see what happened to the white car in the first place. How did it get bashed up? -
Yes, snow foam via a special mixer bottle that attaches the the Karcher.

Evening all. Not the greatest of starts to Toyota ownership. Car is stranded with brake & slip system issues. Basically, a load of warning lights! Mrs out in in, stuck by the road side awaiting Toyota assistance. It's done less than 423 miles in 16 days so hardly impressive. Another myth busted then. Years of FIAT & Alfa ownership had seen the AA very few times. Toyota has them out already. When will the rust that allegedly plagues Italian cars affect the 86 then

In terms of mechanical reliability, I think we've been incredibly unlucky. When we did the Silverstone GT86 day, the instructors said they were bullet proof with only consumables needing replacing.
-
My wife had another nice little gift package off the dealer today. They also gave us a new set of 4 locking logo valve caps to replace the two that got pinched when they had it. All nice little touches. We're both loving the car now, too
-
In general & if you keep them long enough/ in good condition, yes the do. Provenance is everything though. Box, papers etc all vital. I started properly in 1988!!

The new owner is well chuffed. I'm still gutted & hope I don't regret it Here it is driving off.

My Brera went last weekend. Simply not being used. Still got the Spider though

The wheels. So easy to clean : -
Not at all. Love all watches, respect what others own. Didn't mean to sound derogatory, not my intention, sorry. I thought the phrase poncey indicated my level of self deprocation? Still have my first teenage watches. I see them all as wearvestments. Rather that than money in the bank & usually buy on 0%.
-
I'm a watch collector, mainly of the poncey high end stuff but I wear a more modest daily to work. I've seen these two but really like the £120 version. Dealer isn't allowed to open the display cabinet and isn't given the key (WTF?). Hence, it's sale but no return if you don't like it. Also, I understand Citizen did a really nice GT86 but these are unobtainable?? Cheers, Simon

Thanks for trying

-
Thanks. There's a few listed on ebay just now but the seller will not post to the UK http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TOYOTA-86-ZN6-CARGO-MAT-SUITS-SPACE-SAVER-SPARE-NEW-GENUINE-ACCESSORY-/272012621047?hash=item3f553734f7

Thanks. Would want the rigid one. Mainly because wheeled suitcases go in & out a lot. Cheers

Afternoon all, Quick question. I see 98ron petrol is stipulated for our cars. How important is this? Typically, we use V Power or Tesco Momentum so no issue but this afternoon, my wife stopped at BP & Esso where super is rated as 97. She skipped these & found a Shell but I've told her that I suspect even 95 will do in an emergency. What do we think? For maximum performance, run 98+? Cheers, Simon
