All she did was reverse out of a space. Toyota don't know what fault code 546b is. I've googled it for Toybaru but can't find anything either.
-
The only indication were warning lights staying on. Brake system fault + ABS + skid control light all stayed on. Wife read the manual which clearly says do not drive. The AA attended, read the code as 546b, didn't have it listed, phoned Toyota tech support who didn't know it either. Fault cleared on its own so driven home but advised to get it booked in
-
It's just ironic. After years of Italian cars with their supposed reliability issues, we get this on a brand new & allegedly bullet proof Toyota. Given all the issues with buying the thing, not terribly impressed thus far
-
It's brake system related. Fault has cleared (not been cleared) but is still there. Back to the dealer then, but it got her home in the end!
-
Code is 546b. Chap can't find what this means?
-
Will do.

She just reversed out of a space. If this was an Alfa, I'd say battery or brake / clutch pedal switch issue. Hardly confidence inspiring on such a new car. Good job I insisted Toyota provided a manual too.
-
Told her not to drive it. Three warning lights. Brake system, ABS & slip indicator.

Reverse Camera Plug and Play Kit - £75
Squadrone Rosso replied to GT86Jay's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
Just reading this thread as it something that I'd like on our 86. Shame it all went belly up Any other kits available? Cheers, Simon- 145 replies

Is that not standard rubber then? On PH, it was said that the people who do the vids use the rolling start on the V Box.......
-
6.3 secs to 60mph for the BRZ? That's interesting as despite coming from a V6 Alfa, the 86 feels quicker than Toyota's published figures.

Love the new MX5. Pawed over one at GFOS. Shame to see the prejudices are still alive. The original finally killed off the last of the line Alfa Spiders like mine. Where the hell did the Fiat 500 comment come from though? Alfa were going to develop a new Spider with Mazda but binned the idea. Fiat are allegedly turning it into a new 124 Spider or the Abarth version. Both with fruity engines. Could be interesting.

I bought my wife a new Road Angel Gem+ for her new 86 (she had a Road Angel Pro-Connected in her Alfa GT) but there's no where flat to stick the mount. Hence, ordered her the window mount bracket. Great database on RA devices. Used them for years.

What a star. Thank you. So basically, nothing of any use from Toyota

Good news. The dealer is ordering us a manual FoC. I've questioned the sanity of Toyota's decision with their call centre though. Ref tyres, 35psi is the minimum allowable pressure for "all fitments". The My Toyota portal content is actually very good once you've properly registered your car. The usability is very poor though.
-
I always like to check the levels & pressures myself. Good job I did as all four tyres were set to 32psi instead of 35. "Good" to see that Toyota's PDI follows every other new car we've had (although lower was a surprise as they are usually pumped up like balloons).
-
The dealer reiterated this to me this morning so I posted on Toyota UK's twitter account & they confirmed. Everything is through the My Toyota portal (we registered yesterday using the V5C data they ask for) and whilst it's useful, it's very clunky and not intuitive at all. I find it crazy that you aren't given any documentation which tells you how to check levels etc and have to rely on WWW for full car information and instructions. Perhaps I'm old fashioned......
-
Toyota UK say they no longer provide a full car manual "in the interests of the environment"!!! They suggest you download it as required. WTF. Very helpful if you have to find out something or do something when you're miles from anywhere when you get a warning light / flat tyre etc.
-
Cheers. Like this one? This has stacks of stuff not related to the 86 so I'm wondering if it's the right one at all?
-
Thanks. Called into the dealers & was told they no longer do the GT86 manual. I explained that tyre pressures, vehicle checks & tech data weren't in the touch screen manual & I didn't think that was acceptable. Clearly, this is BS as the black Aero loaner we had came with the GT86 book. May just deal with customer services. I've downloaded the PDF manual for now though. Cheers, Simon

Is there a separate manual for it? Just posted a help in the newbies section
-
Thanks. What a clunky nightmare of a website that is. Registered as don't think we've got the correct manual with the car

Bought a nice little insert for the heated seat panel The JBL System seems great according to my wife. The Sub & Amplifier gubbins are all in the boot. Only outward sign is this :-
-
The seats are stunning. As good or better than any I've had in my Italian cars
