Nah - stand your ground. Providing you're prepared to walk away. I would, for what it's worth. If they won't take their mistake on the chin for the sake of customer service not sure I'd want to deal with them... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What have you done so far? I've done the decatted manifold, filter and remap on mine and whilst it's probably only 10-15bhp it transforms the midrange and feels much quicker. Fast enough, in fact. I was going to turbo, but I probably won't bother... The decat manifold was the key... And that little lot barely put my premium up at all... Food for thought? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Need a classier interior? We got the best Seat Covers!

Mine at least doesn't have the horrible red bits, but it's a bit like a pair of tights [emoji1] Quite fancy some nice Harris tweed in there... [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

True, but a full leather retrim just on the seats is likely to run you near a grand. These covers are less than half that. Oh - absolutely. These strike me as very good value - I was very tempted when they were first advertised. I just wonder, personally speaking, whether I would wish I'd saved up for leather.... I agree. They look great. I'd love a tan interior on my red car. Wonder if it might be better to get a proper leather retrim though. These aren't leather. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Usually when a car I own gets facelifted I wish I had the newer car. With this one though, can't say I'm bothered. It's fine and everything, just nothing to make you want to trade in... Thus it possibly misses the point of a facelift... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'd be up for either... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yep - that's what I thought. Usual received wisdom is that offset affects the steering geometry. Mine certainly tramlines a little more than stock under braking but it's nothing to write home about and more than offset by the overall handling benefits of the new suspension/stickier tyres and it no longer looking like a pram... I was wondering about this... I was wondering whether it's something to do with suspension geometry? There must be some reason, surely. Because they keep doing it and they must know it looks a bit rubbish like that... Mine looks so much better now that the wheels are 30mm or so pushed out at each corner. Not sure about the wheels. The style makes them look smaller/narrower than they are, but the rest of it is [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Recall Notice: Power Steering Defect
Nicebiscuit replied to Kodename47's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
The DVLA administer it... mine turned up today - I'll get it booked in soon, but given the number of 12 plate cars on here that are still perfectly fine, not overly worried about my 2015 car... It's not like it's a Zafira or anything. (My mate has one of those. I've bought some marshmallows just in case...[emoji48]) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Well, I made the Kessel Run in under 12 parsecs in mine, but do I get a mention?! [emoji35] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 231 replies

Guilty pleasures. What would you give up your GT86 for?

(I quite like that 500x as well, but then I like the Citroen Cactus so no one should listen to me...) I think I meant guilty pleasures as in stuff we might want more (if we were honest) but can't afford. I'm with those for whom modern Porsches are a bit Ho hum, but I'd make an exception for the Cayman GT4. That's a proper Porsche... Probably my guiltiest 'swap' would be a BMW 1M coupe. I just love those things, but have resigned myself to the fact they're never going to be cheap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Didn't say it had to be in decent working order [emoji185] That 911 in my first post would have been in the twenty grand range when I should have bought one in the early '00s. 911s weren't expensive back then. They've shot up recently - even decent impact bumper cars are well out of my league now. Probably just as well. Similar appeal to the '86 though - earlier cars have less power and less grip so more fun as a road car. Nice though they are - the 86 scratches the itch and I simply wouldn't spend that much on a car... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
GT86 BRZ Tuning Package from Tuning Developments
Nicebiscuit replied to Mike@TD.co.uk's topic in Tuning Developments
Yep. With second cat in situ and standard exhaust it's barely louder than stock. Sounds better though. Put it this way - I may end up sticking a resonated cat-back on at some point as mine is possibly not quite chavvy enough yet [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 231 replies

What Lauren said. Mines on Bilsteins and certainly doesn't feel like it needs any more roll stiffness. I think it might be counter productive... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2013 GT86 TRD - Tastefully Modified - reduced to £19k
Nicebiscuit replied to Neil_turbo's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Cars
'Tastefully modified' is right. Nicely specced car. Mind you, if you sell you'll always wonder what it would have been like supercharged... You'll probably end up buying another [emoji1] GLWTS. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
So nice. And good to see alongside the 86. It's quite remarkable that the 86 isn't all that much bigger. A lot wider of course, which is a shame (it'd be prettier with a few inches out of the middle), but they have to pass side impact tests these days... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Bad luck. Or possibly good luck I suppose. Car did its job - you're OK. Going to certainly keep an eye on my tyre tread depths... :-/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 92 replies

Great day out, and some nice things to see including a few Japanese highlights. Their GT86s were out doing (very sideways) passenger rides too. A 240z won the 70s road sports race too. I mainly fell in love with that s800 though... [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Agree. I think they do a low profile one though... Haven't tried since I fitted the coilovers. It's not much lower, but probably too low for the jack - oh well. I'll resort to driving onto a couple of planks first ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You're a forgiving lot. I think it's admirable that you take responsibility for your own cars, but we're paying through the nose for dealership (and indeed specialist service). Which is fine if you get what you pay for. This isn't the guy down the arches who'll service it for a tenner... Anyway there are conscientious dealers around, and not so good. Takes a while to figure out which. At least these guys took some responsibility in the end (kind of). I'd still look for another dealer though. I've been lied to by main dealers too. They only get to do it the once... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
