Great - definitely in at £55 then - stick me on the list and I'll pay up... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

A year to the week from a muppet hitting our 86, our new Peugeot has been attacked by a pillock in a Q7 trying to squeeze through anAygo sized gap. Gah! [emoji35] That means the 86 is on full family duties this weekend. Wish my son didn't play the Tuba... [emoji1] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Did I mention that I swapped the steering wheel on this car the other week (£20, eBay) and in doing so managed to screw up the airbag wiring. Cost me £400 to fix it. Mind you, that's not so much bad luck as extreme stupidity... [emoji12] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Could be worse. I can laugh now. At least he admitted liability... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thought you needed some competition as unluckiest forum member... [emoji1] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2014 White GT86 Automatic with a few modifications
Nicebiscuit replied to matt's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Cars
I also have two kids and a GT86. Just saying... You buy a smaller pram for the sportscar... And use the 'sensible' car most of the time. I have a Citroen Berlingo. Brilliant car - massive inside, cheap and perfect for being vomited on. Don't get something nice. Get something either knackered already or that you can hose out [emoji1]. Don't do the 'I'm having a baby I suddenly need an Audi Q7' thing. You don't. That said - congratulations [emoji41] and GLWTS. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Prestige Keep Moving Insurance Scheme
Nicebiscuit replied to Tim@Prestige's topic in Insurance Companies
We went with Prestige. In our case the quote was competitive with all mods declared, and not much more the last years 'mainstream' policy for an unmodified car. Took a good hour on the phone though... But that's par for the course. Wish insurers would settle on a common form we could simply submit - as they all ask identical questions... Yes, love them. But I have not tried the alternatives. What I'd say without a shadow of a doubt is that it's worth upgrading to SOMETHING from stock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I wondered about that, but that roof panel is so thin - I wouldn't want to put any stress on it, even spread out like that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Two 86's? [emoji1]. I'm struggling to think of away of carry ANYTHING on the 86. I don't think you can fit roof bars, you can't fit a row ball so things that mount on there are out... I'll watch this thread with interest though... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes - I just like flat sixes though [emoji41] I know there's plenty of precedence for a lightweight sportscar with a v8 shoehorned it though - going right back to Cobra, Sunbeam Tiger and MGB. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ah - I knew I'd seen one somewhere. Subaru flat 6 here... Now this appeals to me a lot... http://www.speedhunters.com/2013/08/engine-swaps-turbo-power-86-style-spotlights/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Black badges perhaps to go with the stripes? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anyone put a Porsche flat 6 in? Or the 3.0 litre Subaru unit for that matter... You'd think that might make more sense... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Full details of the MY17 BRZ brochure
Nicebiscuit replied to Deacon's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
That display screen is nice. Doesn't detract from the analogue instruments. Not a bad upgrade, but nothing that would tempt me to trade up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Fair enough :-D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just trying to think of a reason you'd want to do that. I mean I like my 86, sure, but I think I'd rather have my Ferrari motor in an actual Ferrari. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

m That's 225/40 18 on an 8 inch rim. I think another half inch wouldn't trouble them. I find that's just the right amount of tyre. I wouldn't want 235s particularly. Try googling tyre size calculator. There's a brilliant site where you can enter your current and future wheel and tyre sizes and it shows you exactly how they'll sit on the car. Watched the first couple of episodes with Alex. Makes very little sense in the best tradition of Japanese animation. "Does your car do that Dad?" "Yes, Alex. Yes it does..." [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Quick spin out at lunchtime to try the new set up in the damp. Wow - what a transformation. So much more confidence in the car. The decent damping keeps all four wheels on the Tarmac and thus grip levels much more predictable and the tyres actually grip. It will still step out but only if you want it to. Now got the car I always wanted it to be. Grip and predictability without losing the feel and shift of balance on the throttle. Last time I felt this confident in a car on a B road was in my Puma fifteen years ago. I think I might be in love [emoji7] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
