Not yet... [emoji1] Wasn't suggesting you advertise tofu delivery - possibly a limited market in Greater MCR anyway - but sure you could come up with something... [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah, well you know what I think about that one [emoji41] I've seen a number of attempts to pull off this look on the GT86 but none quite worked until the ToyotaGB car. They nailed it - exactly right weight and positioning. So if I do it I shall crib that one... Disappointed you haven't written something on the door in Japanese. My 10 year old son nearly wet himself when I told him it referred to a Tofu delivery service... 'Why would they make a cartoon about that?' [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We certainly don't have that problem with your wheels, do we [emoji41] It is honestly a lot better in reality as they're gloss so the reflections pick out the detail. Though that'll only work for the 1% of the time when my car is actually clean... [emoji1] Maybe I'll go all 'Nascar' and get some tyre paint on the Yokohama logos... Anyhow, if anything I'm going blacker still. Plotting 'Initial D' style stripes... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You're welcome to have a drive in it. I doubt it's 'better' than the alternatives but might offer something different. More than anything else it just shows the value in swapping to better quality components whoever makes them. Really not a lot of money in the grand scheme of things to spend to transform the car. How often should the TC light come on?
Nicebiscuit replied to un1eash's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Short answer though is that the standard car doesn't have that much grip by design, especially on the Michelins. I wouldn't fancy the mix you have much - the Michelins let go quite readily in the damp whereas those Uniroyals are rather good. Does it under steer at all?! Mines now on Yokohamas and so much better. Personally I'd get a couple more Uniroyals. It's never going to grip like an Elise though - apart from anything else it's a lot heavier. In real life I like them as the spoke design and the quite defined rim edges on these catch the light Depends on the paint colour though. If I didn't have a red car I might have done something different... White bodywork is probably the best for wheel colour choice - you can basically do anything you like then... Yes - me now. Just posted a review thread... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sun's out today, so an excuse for another photo. So hard to photograph the wheels, but in real life, being gloss, they don't disappear like matt finished black wheels can. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Finishing touches. Last of the black badges on... Now I think all there's left to do is set about the spare set of rear lights I have, and possibly some black stripes... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Let's have another one. So nice to have rear wheels that aren't lost somewhere in the bodywork. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Somewhere in the 15-20bhp region at the top end, but that's not the real benefit. It's the flattened torque curve that really makes the difference. Pulls right through the Rev range now. Feels like a 200bhp sportscar now which it didn't really before... :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So finally - time for an update. For his first birthday Bob has had a bit of an overhaul... So we have... - remap, filter,UEL manifold and overpipe (thanks Tuning Developments) - Bilstein B14 coilovers (fitted and aligned by RRG - cheers Richard) - Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2s in 18x8 with Yokohama rubber - Black badges (not fitted the side ones yet...) This was never about building a track warrior but more about a slightly better road car. A GT86 'S' perhaps. So we have a slightly sharper looking 86 with a few extra horses, nice woofly exhaust note, no torque dip, grippy tyres, and a flatter but less jittery ride. Proper review on the Bilsteins once I've had a proper try out but so far I'm very happy with them. Currently as high as they go, but want to see where they settle first. In fact am very happy indeed [emoji7] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mandatory fit now on new cars. Annoyingly. Hate the bloody thing. Just more expense. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Don't know where you live but you're welcome to have a look at mine with the UEL manifold. Plenty of EL ones around too to compare... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Of course you could always have custom decals made... Have a Google to see what others have done. My car's red as well, and currently I'm tempted to try borrow something like this... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I need a lottery win. Can't possibly justify all that money on a set of retro (and not even particularly light) wheels, but I've fallen a bit in love with this car. The decals are particularly good. The stripes are in exactly the right place to enhance the lines of the car. There have been a few attempts at this look, but this one is the best... [emoji7] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Most mods won't affect your warranty except for the bits you replace obviously. Most dealers are pretty good in that respect, I don't think I've heard of anyone have a problem. So for example, you change your suspension and your clutch goes - they're unlikely to quibble. Of course, turn the wick right up on your engine until it goes pop and I'm sure you'd be on your own... Do what you want. I doubt it'll make much difference to resale anyway. Nearly all these cars are personalised in some way. If you like it plain though stick with it for now - you can always put them on later (or something different) I like the mirrors a lot... [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh yes you can buy them... If you want to import from Japan and have VERY deep pockets. I would love a set, but sadly out of my league. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Better than my Finnish [emoji41] Nice car, and great photo in the low sun. Perfect car for a Finn - we know you drive sideways everywhere... [emoji1] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was being sarcastic [emoji6]. Sounds like a rather dodgy bit of post justification from Litchfield... The only bit I don't like about the standard set up is the dampers, so seems odd to change everything else. Anyway - I'll get to try my own gamble on Friday when Richard's guys put my Bilstein B14s on... [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Presumably Litchfield specify that this set up only works with a specific wheel/tyre combo when they sell it... [emoji849] Rather lame excuse tbh... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Love it. Thinking of nicking the striping for my red car. Wonder if ToyotaGB would spill the beans on who did the decals - they probably still have the CAD file - bet they'd sell a few sets of those... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Tuning Developments Manifold & Remap Review
Nicebiscuit replied to Nicebiscuit's topic in Modifications
You know I think it depends which direction you come to the car from. It was the Subaru input that hooked me initially even though I bought the Toyota variant. But if you're a Toyota fan, that's less relevant. And there's no doubt the car sounds nicer than stock whichever you go with. I wouldn't say EL aftermarket systems were dull either. I still reckon stock is though.... Neither sounds as good as an AE86 being given the beans though, sadly.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
