Pic's needed of bumper w/o grill fitted

More likely they'd just cheese wire whatever you just hit. You'd be picking diced rabbit out of your intercooler for weeks... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

That'd be brave. Too many stones and other crap on the roads imo. Would certainly look good though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Nice. And the 86 really makes that Cayman look lardy in those photos. Hard to believe it's got two less seats. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No - I felt the same. It was a big heavy lump with sticky tyres and high limits so if you did get it wrong you felt you were going to make a big hole in the scenery. I liked it not so much as a drivers car, which I'm not sure it was really, but as a baby GT. Was so well made, competent comfortable and quick. And munched the miles. Perfect company car fodder... With my own cash? No... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

These are nice. I really think these wheels are great for the money. Very pleased with my JR winters. These are too wide for me, but otherwise I'd have been in the queue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Agree. No idea really what the point of the M4 is. The M2 does everything the older M3s did - properly quick and still seats four and their luggage (just). I never wished my 1 series was bigger... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

GT86 Inspired Racing Simulator Build
Nicebiscuit replied to Keethos's topic in Non GT86/BRZ General Chat
That's so cool! So much more fun to make stuff than to buy it as well. Now all you need is someone to accurately map Blyton onto one of the decent racing sims... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I had a 120d coupe as a company car and really liked it. I too coveted a 1M, and thought long and hard about a 135i as an alternative to the 86 Trouble is they hold their value well due to rarity and in the end brand new Toyota versus out of warranty BMW was a bit of a no brainier. There's also no doubt the Toyota is more fun. Great cars though and much prefer to the 3 series. Not a lot of people know that the suspension was different on the coupes so a much better drive than the 1 series hatches. Bigger boot too so actually more practical! I've been waiting for the 2 series to grow on me and it hasn't really. Prefer the older car. It's almost like they had to make it a bit frumpy so it didn't steal sales from the 4 series. Maybe the amount of flex in the bulkhead varied across cars?

Would you recommend the above with your UEL manifold as well Mike? -
Good job you're not a journalist in Macclesfield... You might as well just give up and buy an Aygo now [emoji28] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The harsh truth of it is - probably not, besides goodwill. Very much 'at own risk'. Which is why I'm leaving it for now until I've got some value out of the warranty... -
Helpful post this, and those who 'on street' park particularly, might want to check first. I've just found out that I'm uninsurable living in the hotbed of crime that is Macclesfield... [emoji41] Not knocking Chris Knott here, by the way - had this issue with an SK postcode before... On the contrary, reading this post and a quick message (and response) saved me the pain and frustration of going through the whole quote process only to find out I'd need a drive to qualify. [emoji6]Worth checking first... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He probably can. Brilliant little cars. Little gets close for the money. Different kettle of fish to the GT86 but still a proper enthusiasts car. FWD is a different kind of fun, but still fun as anyone who's ever driven a (real) Mini knows... On stock rubber the ST is quicker than the Toyota. But that's because Ford fit tyres which grip. On decent tyres the Toyota should beat it. And he does hit a raw nerve with the Mountune thing. Really irks me that Toyota import a car DESIGNED to be modded and then neglect to offer some sanctioned and warranted upgrades. If Ford can manage it, they can. Cosworth practically bent over backwards...

Neat. The only GT86 I've seen with its own breakfast bar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

210 would do me just fine... Really just trying to get rid of the torque hole (not calling it a 'dip', it's a hole... [emoji1]) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Watching with interest. Mine is booked in for the same at the end of the month... [emoji41]

The fake carbon dash panels in the recent cars like mine aren't too bad actually. Saw the older style ones though at a meet and did think they were a bit ghastly. Putting black Alcantara trim on my wish list though... I quite like it on seats too - nicer than leather. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ooh - I like those very much. Classy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I need some of these... Just need to log on using an actual computer... Unless anyone going to Blyton at the weekend has some on their person... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's not that you're in a disabled bay, it's that you're not parked straight in it... [emoji41] Good to mix it up a bit. I tend to find 'car people' are 'car people' and most think the 86 is a good thing. A lot of interest when I took mine to a Saab meet as well... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
