I do like a number of the sixties/seventies Japanese designs. Quite fond of the Isuzu 117 too - but think Bertone did that one iirc. The 240z is arguably a better design than the various European designs it allegedly cribbed as well. [edit - nope I was wrong - sort of. It was Giugiaro after he left Bertone...] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Good call on the lights. At least when you've finished it'll look better than it did pre-mishap... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's really useful Nick - thank you. I'll take advantage too. I've no problem having a chat to confirm bits and pieces - just seems so much easier to stick the basics in a message first... Cheers Joe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Now awaiting package number 2. This time containing Bilstein coilovers. As per my normal approach of just doing something different to be awkward, going for B14s with the non adjustable damping. My logic is that they're biased to road use which is what I want, and retain decent travel and progressive spring rates. Run at maximum height they should give me a small drop, but enhanced on road manners (and 'better' but not optimal if I track it). And I don't particularly want to fiddle with it. Probably just a more expensive equivalent of a Tein Street Advance but without being able to dial in the damping. But there you go... Someone has to be different [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I am also interested in the above option. Would rather get all the pertinent info written down once and then let your brokers see what they can do. Is there a template or some such? I simply don't have time to spend hours on the phone reading out the same set of details... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I know what you mean... Service, packing and delivery were all top notch as well (I realise I'm not helping...)

Here... http://www.ft86speedfactory.com Not cheap, but really pleased with the quality. And saves a weekend mucking around with plastidip... The side ones in particular are great. They also do gloss black too which also looks good.

Yeah. Fair point. I do hate the touch screen with a vengeance. Main pet hates... - displaying 'audio off' and a naff graphic when it's off. Why can't it simply be 'off'. It doesn't do anything else. - stupid pseudo 3D source selection screen where you have to scroll to select iPod or FM. There's a perfectly good secondary screen where they're all simple icons but you can't have that as default. Grrr. So there's your choice. Nineties aftermarket market trader special in the Subaru, or touchscreen brought to you by Nintendo DS circa 2003 in the Toyota... Hope the facelifted one is better [emoji1]

Parcel number 1. Matt black goodness. Did I mention I hate chrome? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

S'what i meant. The Toyota one is basic but ok. The Subaru unit looks like something they bought from a market trader... But the OP is very wise. The Toyota one is just 'not crap' enough that I've put up with it. If I'd bought a BRZ I'd have a decent aftermarket system by now[emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Subaru audio makes the dodgy Toyota unit look good. Worth it for that blue though. And the BRZ is so much rarer. Enjoy (you will)

Well I'm off to watch also so you won't be the only one... Also merrily swapping bits on my 1 year old car (after swearing I wouldn't until the warranty had mainly run out...) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Early adopters of a car with relatively limited supply do well, as there simply aren't any earlier cheaper ones to choose from. With my 2015 plate car I don't expect it to be worth anything like the value at three years old that cars are at present. If it is, then bonus. But still won't be selling it though. Will be turbo/supercharging it instead. Because what else could I swap it for? Weren't any competitors in my budget a year ago, still won't be in a couple of years time. Unless I have some kind of mental breakdown and suddenly crave an Audi TT Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Come on. Get off the fence and say what you really think... [emoji41] Me, I rather like it. Apart from the wheels which are still dull.
-
Stands to reason. There are plenty of examples coming off lease now so the market is bound to soften. Given the discount you can get on a new one £17k for used ones was never going to last... Still hold their value better than most other things for the money though... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Seems a waste to fit a STOCK replacement front bumper surely... And carbon fibre bonnet and wings too why not... [emoji41] I'm sure you could do a bit of man maths at this point...

Well, they must have had more practise at GT86 panelbeating then any other Bodyshop in the country by now... [emoji1] They managed to salvage my rear three-quarter panel despite an impossible looking crease in the wheel arch so should be a good job... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh no :-(. Trackday mishap?

Found it... If you squint it's like the rear arches of a Countach
