No. Mine are just plain black and made from something worryingly like a pair of thick ladies tights. Then with the red highlight on the shoulder bits. These look similar, just with different colour centres... The standard cloth seats are actually very comfy but should finances allow i might fancy a retrim one day... Are they cloth? Look pretty much like the base model ones that I have made of suspiciously seventies feeling synthetic stuff... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Exactly why I didn't bother. Currently running a £29 halfords jobbie hidden in centre console and plugged into aux in with magnetic antenna mounted upside down in the boot (yes really). Works brilliantly, cost next to nothing and will do fine until (if) I decide to swap out the head unit. As far as I can tell there's no solution that gives you full integration with the stock head unit. Sucks, but there you go... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do you just dremel through the black plastic as close as possible to where it's fused to the clear bit? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Good aren't they? I'm in the very fortunate position of being able to walk home from RRG. I'd be lying if I said that wasn't a big factor in me owning one of these... [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Red GT86 with HKS supercharger Low Miles!

This should be trending on Twitter by now. £17.5k for 320bhp of RWD goodness. Got to be the cheapest way to frighten Porsches... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Gah... I just can't make a decision. Still agonising between Bilsteins and Teins. Now made more complicated by considering WHICH Teins. Set myself a deadline of the Blyton sprint where Mike has kindly offered to drive me round the block on his newly fitted Street Advances. Then I'll decide. Promise. What I HAVE done though is booked in at TD for a cat less manifold and remap. See? I can make some decisions... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Any gotchas dremmeling the lights? I've got a spare set bought and I'm working up the courage to chop them up! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's within 2mm of the fit of the ones I've got and the fit is spot on to my eyes. You certainly won't have clearance issues. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looking forward to seeing them... I think it was a good call. I wasn't sure about bronze against red, but then I saw a pic and it does actually work very well. And very Japanese. Personally I've gone down the black wheels route and will be blacking out everything else over time. I started with the idea of gunmetal too, but in the end thought it was neither one thing nor the other... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Had a ride in the TD turbo car...

You're right about that sadly... -
Went up to Warrington today to have a chat with Mike and book the car in for a manifold and tune, but whilst I was there it'd be rude not to have a ride out in the turbo car. Very impressed. Muscular without being OTT. Feels like I'd imagine a factory Turbo variant would have been. I may start saving up... [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Phwooooaaaaar. (That is all) -
That's a valid point actually. That's probably how they cover themselves against you doing something really daft. 'Legal' and 'MOTed' should avoid most excesses... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh don't get me wrong, I agree, and my two experiences of forced induction so far prove that you're exactly right. There's just something about NA that I love. That sound of pure induction noise from ITB's, coupled with a flat four burble of the FA20 with a UEL manifold. I can imagine that being quite the event. I suppose you could still put the ITBs on. It might not be much quicker but it would sound lovely [emoji41] -

To put it in context the 2.7 litre flat 6 in the iconic Porsche 911RS of the seventies made 210bhp. But was also rather lighter... Not really fussed about chasing expensive extra horsepower. I wonder whether someone with the sort of £s to make 250-260bhp from a n/a car would be better off leaving the engine alone and embarking on a hardcore programme of lightening the car instead... I certainly will when I'm next in your part of the world. Thank you for the kind offer. As I noted above, we're properly spoiled in the GT86 world with a number of decent options for what is really not a lot of cash in the big scheme of things... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Think they're ET40, but binned the box so can't check... Seems about right - half an inch more poke than stock due to width an another 8mm from the offset. They fill the front arches and nearly fill the back. They look great in silver. Would have been happy with that too - these just popped up for sale conveniently...

Couldn't agree more - I just wonder if they cover themselves somewhere in the small print for things not being used as intended... I'm being silly now, but I doubt they'd pay out if Adams wheels turned out to be made of pewter (though it'd still technically be an alloy...) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Noones mentioned insurance yet. Do they care? As stated in many places in the thread these aren't particularly OTT, but if you're running tyres outside of manufacturers specs would your insurers take a dim view?. Now they REALLY don't need much of an excuse to be slopy shouldered - and if the worst happened the consequences could be far worse than a rap on the knuckles from the plod. Not convinced. I think the best approach is to be sure of your legal ground and keep the relevant docs in the car... If polite but assertive, he'll probably find any future officer who stops him will back off. They'll be more put off by the prospect of a lot of extra paperwork and hassle... Well you could... But I wouldn't if I were you. Why make yourself a target? I'm sure sooner or later you'll need their discretion on something... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No - agree about stiffer springs and standard dampers being a bad idea. I'm trying the other way around - standard springs and uprated dampers. They're supposed to work together. We shall see :-) Always impressive seeing these adapted set ups. I find it hard enough with both hands on the wheel! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
