Yes it should. I think it's broken...

Are you connecting to 'aux' - I.e the 3.5mm jack socket, or the USB connection? My iPhone 6 works just fine through the USB socket using a standard Apple lead. Or you can connect via Bluetooth too.

Except on the poverty spec model. On mine they are the running lights....

I do like that Spider. The late model styling has really aged well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cough... I nearly choked on my nice cup of tea and digestive biscuit... [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Very interested in this - especially if you're keeping the stock secondary cat... Will have to grab a passenger ride once you're all done...

It's quite easy to lose sight of the lines on black and carbon, and I feel the stickers kind of make them lines stand out a lot more and makes it look a lot better [emoji4] Agree. The front in general can in general look wide and flat rather than as 'sharky' as it should. Anything that accentuates the bonnet length works well - the vents in yours do that, but I've also seen good results with stripes as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh good idea - works really well on that bonnet crease. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

AA guy reckoned it was the alarm that gradually depletes the battery. Which would make sense given that it's UK fitted and not part of the original spec. Ours was the third 86 he'd been to recently... No reason the bigger battery won't solve the problem. Will stop it getting so low between runs...

Didn't know you were ex-codemasters. Cool. Can't think of any driving games I've enjoyed quite as much as the TOCA series and Colin McRae rally on the old PS1s and 2s... Happy days... [emoji41]

In all seriousness - just buy one and have a go. You'd be amazed how many songs are about three chords and a bit of distortion [emoji41]. Which means you can have fun quite quickly. The trick is to buy a guitar and amp secondhand. They rarely lose any more value, so if you decide it's not for you you can get your money back. Just take someone you know who plays to pick one... And whatever the gear snobs might say, cheap guitars are pretty good these days....

I just like wheels to be round, without various lumps or bumps or the daft flat bottom thing. Happy enough with the wheel in the 86 although thanks for the link - could do with a leather retrim on my other car... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Unexpected things you like about the GT86
Nicebiscuit replied to Nicebiscuit's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Well... Last time I had my wife follow in the Citroen... Not quite the same, but no matter... -
Yes, ok, so it's pretty, it handles and it's great fun to punt around. If it weren't those things we'd have all asked for a refund. But I was thinking earlier about the little details I like. Anyone got any more? 1) the handbrake is in the right place to actually use. Surprisingly rare - especially on Euro cars where it's often positioned for LHD. 2) you can get big bottles of water (or more usefully - wine) in the doors. In general oddments space is quite good for this sort of car. 3) visibility is excellent. Where are the massive thick pillars that every other manufacture considers essential in 2015? Best safety aid in my book is being able to see out... 4) it is surprisingly economical. 40mpg + isn't bad at all. 5) when I look under the bonnet there are nicely identifiable engine-y things under there. Not a big plastic cover. 6). The Ferrari Dino-esque wing bulges that make it so easy to place the car. (This last one might be my favourite thing about the whole car)

Unexpected things you like about the GT86

except for the fact that the car isn't rated for towing iirc Now that I can live with - but not being able to stick a roof carrier on was a bit of a downer... -
Another guitarist here (or guitar hoarder anyway...). Also wannabe drummer but not very good at that...

So back to your shopping list. My requirements are similar (though doing handling first [emoji41]) And my answer so far (as I don't want to announce my arrival to the whole neighbourhood) is decent decatted manifold, leave rest of system as is and remap that. And most likely at Tuning Developments, because a) they're local they make decent hot dogs and c) their manifold supplier is top notch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My wife isn't entirely sold either - seems bigger because you sit lower. Frankly I expect she'd prefer a Polo GTi as well. She'll come round though... [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is my dilemma too. Personally after torque smoothing and to maximise the benefit of a remap rather than chasing peak power or noise. So top of my list was decatted manifold but then retaining rest of the stock system but no idea whether stock second cat alone would pass MOT. I'd guess not otherwise why would Toyota bother strangling it with the primary cat as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I expect you'll be very pleased with it. I know the purists on here won't approve but I like a sorted small fwd hatchback... [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Better looking too... I think it's a bit overlooked because the previous 1.4 gti was a bit underwhelming. But the 1.8 is great. Very close in character to a mk2 golf gti to me... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nice car that. I considered one. Fiesta ST kicked it's behind though... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

....and washed and vacuumed too. Now they're just showing off. Think I might flatten the battery again next week too. [emoji12] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So... Toyota recovery out to start the car, down to RRG - absolutely bursting at the seams according to Claire - nevertheless here we are a couple of hours later with a new style battery fitted under warranty. [emoji41] I can only apologise to those of you who don't live in Macclesfield. Top notch service - this must be what it's like owning a Bentley... [emoji12] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well... You chaps jinxed my battery. Came out this morning, and absolutely dead. Car now down at RRG where Richard and colleagues are sorting us out with the usual excellent service. Car only nine months old, and last driven 5 days ago, so not great - but I'm on the old style battery... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
