Interested in anyone's experience with updated shocks only. Given that my car is very much road/daily driver focused I'm not sure I particularly want it lower, thus coilovers may be overkill. But car as standard feels a little underdamped. Considering Bilstein B6s or similar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I feel your pain. The Citroen is coming back from the Bodyshop today with repairs from my wife's two separate reversing incidents... Wallet £600 lighter... There goes the 'new wheels' budget... Plus the 86 has a scraped bumper thanks to an incompetent Frenchman. Not fixing that. It'd only happen again... [emoji35] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And for something a little smaller... My winter set. Japan Racing JR3s in 16x7 wearing Kumho 215/55R16 winters. These are budget cast wheels but have exceeded my expectations - build quality and finish are good, they've stood up to a winters abuse and still look as new, plus they're not heavy - a little over 6kg. The cheapskate route to lightness - just go smaller! As you'd expect the ride is good on these, and the handling even more old school progressive and chuckable.

Suggestion - stickies for common mods?
Nicebiscuit replied to Nicebiscuit's topic in Requests & Issues
Ok - started a few in the 'how to's' section. Let's see how they go and you can sticky them if they get any good... -
An idea... There's a wealth of information on here from people who've tried various common mods. But the info tends to be spread around. Would it be worth creating a few sticky threads in the modification section for common modification areas? - then anyone could post with quick reviews of what they've fitted/tried. Over time you'd get quite a resource and a one stop shop for newbies. You could have an exhaust thread, a suspension thread, etc etc right up to supercharger kits etc...
-
This thread is for collective wisdom on anything engine tuning related. Whether is be an air filter, a remap, or a fire breathing supercharger that sticks out of the bonnet. What did it do to power, driveability, noise, economy etc and did it help the dreaded torque dip. If it's a remap - who did it, how much, and is their coffee any good? Share your experiences... Except for exhausts - that can have its own thread.

Suggestion - stickies for common mods?

Yeah - it would fit in the 'how to's' OK. I suppose my thinking is - it'd be great to think 'I'm ready for some suspension mods' and to be able to go to a thread with posts for various different brands and their experiences with it. Maybe I'll just start a few threads in that section and see what we get... -
I'd be up for it. I'm not usually abroad... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My wife is quite annoyed at me. She doesn't think that it's necessary to manoeuvre around the car park on opposite lock... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Could you get any more stretch on those tyres? ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sod it... It's what bumpers are for. If I fix it it'll only happen again... Meanwhile having a LOT of fun. As everyone on here knows, RWD is perfectly good on snow and ice with the right tyres. Bob is handling the mountains beautifully. Have a gratuitous photo with a pylon in it... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No. They were nowhere to be seen. Thus we could make rapid progress south. One thing I noticed - everyone gets out of the way. I think they see something low and red approaching fast from behind, and it's only once I'm past they see it's only a Toyota. As for the bump. Frankly if you want your car to stay nice, never go to France in it... [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh FFS. Only in France for a few hours and already had an elderly wavy armed Frenchman reverse into my car. Yes the bumper is scuffed, but in the end just couldn't be arsed to argue... C'est la vie... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
