High power turbo applications in excess of 300bhp (I believe) have the potential to suck oil off the filter, although it could be people who saturate the filter when they reoil them. I'm not going to break 300bhp for some time, and K&N showed a great curve in a drop in filter test over the pond Will do for me for now

And if I go to a tuner do I just need to pay for license & tune and they use their own cable?

Beta is now up to version 3 with an updated UI. Not much new for our cars other than tire pressure sensor registration. Still cannot get auto a/c to work

If I wanted to use ecutek to flash OFT maps what parts would I need; i find the cable, Dongle, license model confusing

Think I spend about £350 with Tesco but I live in a poor postcode (anything Stockport based is bad). I'm 36 with like 12 yrs no claims

Did they use ecutek?

I doubt Tesco is mod friendly but my insurance is up for renewal in Jan

..also if i go down the decat route how Do I explain it to the insurer. It isn't a full exhaust system swap. If I say decat they may think it is now not road legal?

Thanks for all of the opinions I sorted the drop in filter last weekend. Saw a change in engine noise and seems to be more responsive. I'm leaning toward the decat at the moment. I have no plans for FI.

If I go OFT I can remap as many times as I want as long as someone had created a similar tune. I guess the question should be, will I get more for my money immediately by getting OFT or 2nd decat
