Guilty pleasures. What would you give up your GT86 for?

Something American from the late 60s with a v8. Saying that, I've already given up my 86 for a family car.. -
PRICE REDUCTION 2012 GT86 - Pearl White 22k £14595.00
Dan7954 replied to charged's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Cars
Id have to disagree, higher price cars sell just as easily. My e93 m3 was listed at 9pm and the new owner was driving it away before noon the next day! The gt took a little longer, about 10 days. Both through pistonheads, that and ebay are the best places imo. -
I'd try the relay first mate... even put your old one back in to see if it works? I know it will flash quickly but that will tell you if it is the relay at fault.. I doubt it would be anything else.
-
My toms came with a new relay, I'd imagine the same goes for the op as they were working fine to start with.
-
Don't stress mate. Sounds like the flasher relay to me. if the output of a relay stays on with the control side/power turned off then the contacts have welded

Just thought, my brakes really squealed a lot on the 86 and a brake fluid change helped a great deal.
-
Haven't used them on an 86 but they were quiet when I had them on an mr2 turbo. Quite a lot of dust but not as much as 'endless' pads, were not quite as good either but for the price a good pad imo.

Could be worth while asking on the US forums for a pic/info of stock arrangement of their connector, then you can copy it?

You'd have to add crazy power too I think. Rusty slow gt86 (In relation to) or a Rusty surprise gt86! I know which one I'd take.
-
Go for it if it's the condition you describe.. I think anyway. Thought the car was steel tbh??🤔

The many transformations/mods this car has had, you could never sell it! Well I wouldn't be able to anyway. I've sold my 86 but im still hanging around to see this done! Hats off to you.

The time has come to sell my GT86.My original plan was for this car to be a keeper but since our daughter was born, I've found the car just isn't getting the use I'd hoped for, mainly due to the lack of space compared to our other car, it's just easier to take that instead. Therefore I need a saloon or an estate.Anyway onto the car. I purchased it from my local main dealer last year with 10,500 miles on the clock, it now sits at 14,150 miles. My intention from the outset was to supercharge the car, I purchased a used Sprintex unit from a member on here which came with all new ancillary equipment such as pump, hoses, radiator etc. The kit was collected from abbey motorsport then subsequently inspected, all bearings good and no rotor contact. The car was mapped by Mark at abbey motorsport and produced 228whp (approx 265 fly), this was on a 69mm pulley and standard exhaust. Mark said at the time that if I had a cat back on the car he could have got another approx 20whp (I didn't want a loud exhaust and settled for the stock one). The car also has:Ecutek licence with 4 selectable maps (soft throttle, stock throttle, safe map for 95 octane fuel and stock throttle with auto blip, flat shifting and launch control)HKS panel filtertinted rear windowsa discrete digital boost gauge by the start button. 20/25mm wheel spacers front/rearRed Toms tail lights.Toyota touch & go sat nav.Under warranty (just over a year now remaining, not inc. engine) , the car had new front discs and pads last year due to squealing, the battery replaced for the 65ah and a new set of mats on purchase. The car also has the front of the bonnet/bumper wrapped in clear vinyl for paint protection, this has been very affective and due to this I have only been able to find one very small stone chip that is on the unwrapped section of the bonnet. The car is located in Swindon, Wiltshire. I am asking for £17.1k ovno. Any questions if you think I've missed anything, then just fire away!
