Should be an interesting collection of other cars of they all come along, stripped out Mk1 Clio, caged and slicks with Clio 182 engine, VX220 Turbo, VX220 with a Rotrex and a late 80s Corvette with nitrous :-) Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Thinking about doing the Javelin day with some chaps from work on Thursday 27th April. Be great to have some other Toyobarus there if anyone else is up for it? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

If its not too late I'll take a small purple hoodie please :-) -
Mostly solid modelling, but do a little bit of surfacing when required. It's been 10years since I've had direct experience of laser scanning, I bet the technology has come on loads since then. Would be interested to hear more about what your kit can do at Japfest :-) Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

I thought so too until I got back to the pits and it refused to idle without stalling. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Yep that was me! I was experimenting with using more of the flat kerb on the right whilst braking. There was much less grip on the kerb than I expected which led to me running out of road (or talent more like) and said grass tracking incident you witnessed! It was that hop across the grass that popped the inlet hose off. Were you in the ginger that was behind me before I went off then? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Think I'll still be grinning in the morning. Bedford is a great track if like me you've not tracked your car before. Big thanks to Mark from Abbey for diagnosing and then fixing the inlet hose that popped off my car towards the end of the day. I'd still be there scratching my head otherwise. I'll post up a description of the fault symptoms and how to fix it in case it happens to anyone else. I'm rubbish with names at the best of times so I'm struggling to match all the faces and names as well. Looking forward to Japfest now and putting some more pieces of the names and cars jigsaw together! Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

The car is a very good sales tool [emoji3] I drove it on Thursday and loved it so much I placed an order the next day. Playing a similar waiting game now, can't wait! Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

It doesn't whine because it's a roots type supercharger, the Sprintex which does whine is a twin-screw. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Good work, surfacing in CAD is definitely one of the dark arts :-) Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

I'm only down the road so I'll be driving straight there in the morning, looking forward to it :-) Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Great, thanks. I had a long chat to Matt at the Autosport Show, as a mechanical engineer working in product development myself it was that which pretty much convinced me the Cosworth SC is the way to go for me! Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Best to email them for a quote as like Dan, I got a good discount in Jan sales. It also depends if piston are okay or need replacing, and if the nipple come out easily or if they are seized and what kind of paint service you want. There are lots of options.... [emoji4] Agreed, I've gone for the options that give a 4year warranty, before any additional costs for parts/seals it was £380 for F+R with the discounts. I'd separately sorted out timeserts for the threads on the rear calipers, even if the existing aluminium threads are good its well worth doing this when there's no time pressure to get the car back on the road! Not yet, waiting till March payday for that, but I've already sorted out access to a workshop, will be self-fitting with my Dad's assistance :-) Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

I've got Michelin Pilot Super Sports, can't compare them to anything other than the Primacies on this car but they're truly excellent and the wear so far is very good after 5k miles, there's easily 3/4 of the tread left and the shoulders are standing up nicely to all the roundabouts near me :-) Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

I'm guessing you wouldn't be interested in splitting the cooler/lines and the sandwich plate? Completely understandable if you won't! Realised I can get Setrab and Earls parts at pretty much trade prices through work so I'll probably go for a new cooler and lines. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

I had a voucher from their Black Friday sale, waited sending them in because of the backlog from that, they'll have had them two weeks at the end of this week. I'm planning to fit the SC and brakes over the last weekend in March, so I'm not fussed if they take another 4weeks to get them back to me. How long have they had yours for? Centre console armrest has to be one for the list, expensive for what it is but definitely one where the whole is equal to more than the sum of the parts! Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Have you got any pics of the Setrab oil cooler installed, does the sandwich plate have ports for pressure and temp sensors?

I've got 2010s F+R so all's good :-) Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

I bought my Dad a voucher for this and treated myself to one too, I was looking forward to it already but reading this has increased the anticipation! Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

I'm glad you're wrong, but only because if you were right then the arrival of more power would've been delayed! Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

The already blasted caliper was originally gold with red logos and from a 2004 Impreza, the black one are my 2010 calipers.

That's what I meant, the mounting lugs on the calipers are identical spacing and location, I'll post up some of the pics later when I'm not on my phone with a rubbish connection. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
