    Washers For Fluids Change

Standard sump plug gasket is 16x21x2.3. Using copper washers on a steel sump pan will be fine, but be careful using them to seal aluminium, the copper is normally harder than the aluminium so sometimes won't seal properly. I'd normally use an aluminium crush washer in that case, but you can anneal the copper washer with a blow torch as a work around as well.

I've got some sump plug washers in my drawer at work, will check the size when I'm back in on Thursday and let you know.

    GT86 bunny hopping when cold

I've never got on with the softer throttle maps either. The kangarooing is better if you wait for it warm-up 20-30secs before pulling off your drive.
  5. Hi everyone, The next Milton Keynes gathering will on Sunday 29th October at The Fox and Hounds in Whittlebury, which is about 25mins from MK and 5mins from Silverstone. We'll meet around 1.45pm for food at 2.15pm. This should work well for any who are attending Pistonheads Sunday Service on the same day. http://thefoxandhoundswhittlebury.co.uk/#findus As usual I'll book a table for all confirmed attendees one week in advance of the event. Look forward to seeing you all there Dan.

    Milton Keynes Meets and Eats

Because I don't know you both I'll avoid the open goal joke there.....! As we're now 8 people the booking had to move back 15mins to 2:15pm to fit us all in.

    Premium Coilover selection!

Lucas, The spring rates for the Ohlins in your website link are incorrect, they're for the previous MI20 kit. Correct details here: https://www.ohlins.eu/en/products/automotive/sus-mp20--39/

    Rear seat delete group buy

Just ordered mine via eBay. With the discount, shipping and import duty it was just over $420, which is ~£325.

    .

I don't regret it enough to buy and fit longer wheel studs, but if/when I have call to change them then 10mm spacers will definitely be factored in.

    .

I'd recommend going for the 35 offset in the Ultraleggeras. I went for the 48 offset when I bought mine and have regretted it ever since!

Yesterday the car went to Abbey Motorpsort for a dyno session as I was still running the original "on the road" tune from when I fitted the Harrop last year with completely stock exhaust. Spec as tuned: Harrop SC on standard pulley Tomei UEL manifold and Scorpion overpipe Abbey Motorsport HFC (Cobra with a larger CAT brick) HKS Spec-L Catback @Mark@Abbey M/S managed to find a decent torque increase across the entire rev range and the peak power is pretty good too. The previous tune wasn't terrible, but the engine is smoother everywhere and the throttle response a little sharper, looking forward to seeing what its like on track.

    Few nice photos

So that was you just as I was leaving work around 4pm! You won't have spotted me as I was in my Leon daily. Looking good either way

These are £140 new so you might want to reconsider your price. I might be interested depending how low you go. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

Yep! It is quite amazing what a difference it's made, was quieter with a cracked stock maniflold. Thankfully it sounds good or I'd be super peeved, and its still really quiet for motorway miles.

I agree that static tests are useless in terms of actual on circuit noise, but they're a much more reliable / repeatable test to give someone an idea if they're going to be borderline or way over the limit before they head out on track. I'm not aware of any standardised procedure for driveby tests, several circuits specify it being measured at 20 metres but not all do, it'll be very dependent on meter location, wind direction and atmospherics on the day, your particular driving style / shift up/down points for your car etc etc. At Formula Student in July we were measuring 80dB(a) purely in background noise due to the wind! I'm booked in for the 10th October at Abbey for a remap.

We could try again at the Fox and Hounds in Whittlebury for the next meet and then use the circuit perimeter road at Silverstone for a test. It'll be pretty quiet most weekends now.

Little bit of an update before I bugger off on holiday. The new exhaust setup measured 90dB using @Steeps noise meter so should be okay for most tracks, although a bit nervous about driveby at Bedford after @will300's recent experience, time will tell... The Team Dynamics wheels I ordered as "track" wheels back in April finally turned up yesterday, they've been shod in a set of PS4s today and will go on for the winter and be for wet track days. Didn't have time to seal them today (not making the mistake of not sealing wheels again!) so will do that when I'm back and get the Ultraleggeras sent off for a refurb.

    Soon to be a GT86 Owner o/

Welcome aboard, @Steeps will be pleased to see another GT86 at the meets to help even out the BRZ vs 86's! I've been a bit slack on organising the next meet as I'm changing jobs and buying a new house, just about to head to Orkney for a week but will be sorting something out when I'm back.
