Exactly why I went down the BRZ route, plus I got a bargain as an ex demonstrator, hope you manage to find what you want.
-
Yep, I was glad I got mine as stock clearance!
-
This is what I bought so will report back when it's fitted over the winter

You know it makes sense, it just needs some appropriate "man maths" to take place! https://www.shotdeadinthehead.com/pistonheads-man-maths-hoodie-mens.html

Does a claim on their trackday insurance affect your main no claims bonus or is it a separate policy like all other trackday insurance you buy, but just much cheaper?

@Bfranklyn86 having seen the amount of wadding and heat shielding on the OEM manifold and overpipe I think ceramic coating the parts is a good idea regardless of whether you have an oil cooler or not. There's already a load of extra heat going in to the engine bay from the SC radiator and the SC itself so I'd do everything possible to keep engine bay temps down. I use the right side of my foot for heel and toe in these cars, I have to sit too close to the pedals to get the steering reach I like to be able to rotate my foot round easily. I totally agree on the practice front, I started doing it on the road first until it became second nature to do it on every downshift, but it does take a little time to get used to.

Will post up on here next time I get a reading.

No, got the Cobra HFC with the larger brick from Abbey. Will get it sound tested soon. It was 87.5db(A) static with the stock manifold, Cobra HFC and HKS catback. Subjectively it's pretty loud, but sounds superb.

Bite the bullet and get an oil cooler! (Or make one) That's already in the plan, just need the time, manifold became a must have after Bedford finished the stock one off.

Tomei UEL with Zircotec ceramic coating.
-
The new manifold may be ceramic coated but this extra heat shielding can't hurt. Good bit of cut and fold origami required to get it to fit nicely.
-
New (not so) shiny bits to be fitted. Should sound much less tractor esque now [emoji2]

Those of you who were at Bedford in August will know that I left driving something akin to a tractor. It was definitely the manifold blowing but where from was the question? This is the offending article. It has failed right along the heat affected zone from the weld. Very poor design!

That sounds makes me wish my new manifold was here already!
-
So about two tanks of fuel then!
-
Interesting, I was 82.5 with the stock manifold (before it went to tractor spec), are you in the stock 2nd cat?
-
The tools jump up and down in the boot as well. Try taking them out and see if it makes a difference.

Same here, payment now sent.

My current two faves:

When you have the creak open your door and see how much louder it is. It's definitely the release bearing fork on mine anyway.
-
Same here, comes and goes, it's the lever between the clutch slave cylinder and the release bearing creaking.

130 deg.C is the temp the Abbey map for may car reduces power at.

Count me in as well please. The bumper will need to come off again at some point!
