Intec high Level Brake Light - Special Offer !
S18 RSG replied to James@Amber's topic in Amber Performance
@James@Amber Any chance you could send me an invoice to Paypal as with the Valenti light I ordered off you this week? Easier than going through the checkout process again -
102 miles away, that's almost local. You guys must be starting to like me. I'll be there of course.

Abbey Motorsport Cobra larger capacity HFC
S18 RSG replied to Mark@Abbey M/S's topic in Abbey Motorsports
What are the timescales looking like for this Mark? Not sure I'll have a chance to pop down in September so might not be for a few weeks until I'm available. If you could let me know how things are looking, would be great. Sent from my LG-H850 using Tapatalk- 65 replies

Guilty pleasures. What would you give up your GT86 for?
S18 RSG replied to Nicebiscuit's topic in Non GT86/BRZ General Chat
Isn't the idea of a guilty pleasure that it's something out of the ordinary, and perhaps even worse than the GT86? I'm sure most GT86 owners would take a 911 GT3 or a Cayman over a GT. I expected more along the lines of Citroen DS or some obscure old school japanese cars, not a list of every car everyone wants. -

This is a buddy of mine's 912. He bought it for £11k a few years ago, restored it himself and it total it owes him around £20k. Last time he checked, it's market value was £55,000 As nice as it is, I wouldn't give up the GT for it. However, that being said, I very nearly DID give up the GT86 a few months ago when an R32 Skyline popped up at Abbey. I know everyone raves about the 34's and the new 'R35', but I've got a soft spot for the 32. The one at Abbey looked very similar to this: -
Don't suppose you wanna sell your Legsport spoiler? If I was to buy a ducktail, yours is the one I want, however I'm really thinking TRD spoiler and a carbon Sard LSR at the moment. I love that combo.
-
Yeah, that's the one. Worked out a good deal with Chris. I kinda want a carbon wing, just not sure what to go for. A Sard LSR has always been a favourite, but if I remove the stock wing, I'll have to get a new bootlid or have all the holes filled, not sure I want that much hassle.
-
Yeah still got it. Was debating getting all the lips wrapped or something, but might just wait and get the APR real carbon lip

Slightly random that I've suddenly become interested, but is this still up for sale @Tarmac? I see the link is still valid for the eBay auction, so I guess it's a yes?

For sale: Perrin Front Strut Brace (red)
S18 RSG replied to Paul's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
If not sold before JAE I may be persuaded over a few beers. I need more red things in my engine bay. -
Japspeed's manifold is effectively a stock manifold with the cat cut out. Piping sizes are basically identical. Myself and another member on here also found them on Chinese eBay for the equivalent of about £50 delivered. They could well be copies of the proper Japspeed manifold, but equally they could be the same thing. So to answer your question, yes, it will be loud, but in my honest opinion you would do better buying something a little more credible.

As above, they only say to check to cover themselves if something goes wrong. They can just turn around and say "Well, we did warn you". They certainly do not put that warning up as they expect wheel nuts to fall off left right and centre. That's clear negligence on the part of the dealer, however, because they issue that warning, you may not have a leg to stand on.

In case you decide against Yoko's, or can't find them in stock, you may also consider Vredestein's. I run Sessanta's (http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Vredestein/Ultrac-Sessanta.htm) which are more of a fast road/mild track tyre, however I found Vredestein through my first set of Vorti's (http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Vredestein/Ultrac-Vorti.htm) on my Porsche. Lots of Porsche owners swear by them as a sidegrade from Pilot Sports for around 75% of the price. I've used them on track, and for thousands of road miles and have very little bad to say about them. One big advantage I've found compared to other brands is how quiet they are, something that few people ever mention. Around 8000 miles through my set on the GT86, and they look like they've barely been used. That 8000 miles includes a track day and a fair amount of drifting too. Sometimes the most popular choice isn't always the best

Like I said, I'm fairly sure the number has been lowered to 5:1 now (local dealer told me), which lines up more with current figures, so seems true.

GT86 BRZ Tuning Package from Tuning Developments
S18 RSG replied to Mike@TD.co.uk's topic in Tuning Developments
Do this first. Makes the biggest difference to daily driving out of everything. Wheels/suspension are great as "luxury" upgrades, but this package will transform the way the car drives in every way.- 231 replies

GT86/BRZ/FR-S Manifold/Headers From Tuning Developments
S18 RSG replied to Mike@TD.co.uk's topic in Tuning Developments
17hp gain over a different EL manifold and tune? Sounds like there were issues with Kev's car/tune if he gained that much. That's a similar gain as you'd expect compared to stock. -
While there are more Toyota dealers than Subaru dealers, the differential is nowhere near enough to account for the sales. The ratio of Toyota dealers to Subaru is more like 3:1 (200:72). As far as I'm aware, the main reason for the difference in sales was because Toyota put a limit on the number of cars Subaru could sell. They would only allow Subaru to sell 1 for every 10 GT86's. That number was reduced to 1 for every 5 in 2015 I believe. That's all information I got from my local dealer anyway.

Surprised you've not driven Llandow Lauren, great fun little track. Although I've not driven the 86 there, I can imagine it would suit the 86 down to the ground. It's certainly not the most technical given that it's basically just an oval with a few chicanes thrown in, but it's wide enough to have a lot of fun, and whenever I've been there it's attracted some awesome cars.

Vaporeon was worth spending dust on before last patch, but they adjusted his combat values. He's still good though. I would suggest you either wait until you get a higher Eevee given how easy they are to catch and evolve, and get a higher base Vaporeon first, then spend dust to max that one. Also, it's worth checking the IV first, before committing to powering anything up. My Vaporeon is around 92%, which is about the minimum level you should consider powering up. On the flip side, my Tauros is 100% and my Dragonite is 99.2%, so they're getting all the treatment.

I live in a small town too, only 5 Pokestops and 2 gyms within walking distance (meaning within ~2 miles from my house). I mostly levelled up from Pidgeys, Drowzees, Weedles and Ratatas, then found out that a local town was a Magikarp, Goldeen, Psyduck and Growlithe spawn, so spent a few days heading there after work and stocking up. The majority of the variety I've got are from heading into Cardiff, where there are Pokestops everywhere, and all with lures. I walked around there for about 4 hours one weekend and caught hundreds of Pokemon, and left behind probably as many as I caught as I just couldn't keep up. That's the secret, just go to a big city.

Level 25. Losing a bit of motivation to carry on as it now takes ~200k XP to level up, plus the fact that I'm 121 Pokemon caught means I'm hardly ever seeing anything new. I have a few evolutions waiting to happen (Gloom, Koffing, Abra, Pikachu and a few others) then I'll be relying on 10k eggs or lucky catches :/

Started playing again today since the new update, had some evolving to do and some eggs to hatch. Pretty profitable day.
